Synopsis
The moon Goddess was displeased with him and bestowed upon him a punishment he would remember for the rest of his life. After all, that is what he gets for meddling in the affairs of the Gods. She was a conniving woman who conspired against her own kind to get what she wants and offended many. Now there is a bounty for anyone who can capture her. _____________________________________________ "Imagine if those two could meet", Aphrodite sighed by the pond. She stared at the water with a look of longing and sighed again when no one paid heed to her. Ares gave her a questioning look and picked a glass of wine. He had stolen it from a certain God when he was not looking. He shifted his attention to the pale beauty sitting across from him while twirling the red liquid in his hand. He skin was the fairest of all and it was almost like he was staring at the moon as dark tresses fell around her face. She nibbled her thumb once or twice before she raised her head to Aphrodite's miserable form "I think you're right" Luna pushed the wooden chair away from the table and stood up with determination blazing in her eyes. Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

"How much for her?"

The green eyed she-wolf stared at the pale man before her with eyes full of discontent. She hated his kind and she hated him the most.

If she wasn't chained to the ground she would have clawed out his guts. A low growl resonated from within her when the chains that bound her felt hot against her skin. They were burning her, eating away at the tender tissues of her flesh.

Teeth grit against one another when the chains hissed against her bruised wrists more than once, digging further into skin.

Silver.

They had soaked the chains in silver.

It would appear that they had planned this all along, especially the one person whom she had befriended and gave her trust to.

She turned her head to the woman beside her in a glare.

She had betrayed her.

"It depends on how much you have"

The woman shrugged and looked down at the pitiful she-wolf beside her feet. A smirk slowly formed on her lips as she stared lazily through her lashes. She knew what must be going through her little brain right now but none of it bothered her. This was the last day she would see her anyway and what they do with her was none of her concern to say the least.

"I don't have all night you know"

A frown was cast upon her face as she turned to the man. The dark cloak hanging on his shoulders accentuated his unearthly features. He was as pale as the moon that looked down upon them. From where she stood she could see his sharp yet delicate face.

Feminine yet not feminine at the same time.

His eyes held a hint of interest as they took her in, assessing her to the point where goosebumps began to erupt on her skin.

There was no wind tonight and the trees stood tall and unwavering in the dead of night.

She should have seen the abnormal as soon as she stepped onto the forest floor but she had been preoccupied.

The woman took a step back just as the man came closer.

Could it be that he had already figured it out?

Fist clenched at her sides and eyes narrowed at the man.

"No funny business. I deliver the girl and you give me the stone"

He stopped several feet away, appearing as if in thought when he suddenly shifted his gaze to the darkness beyond the trees.

"There might be a slight change to the plan"

A smile revealing fangs made her clench her fists even further.

She had known that something like this might happen but still went ahead with the bargaining.

Shadows stealthily moved out from where they had blended perfectly with the dark and slowly surrounded the both of them.

"I take it you know what this means. I now want both you and the girl"

She rolled her eyes and scoffed at the man. He was now standing in front of her, towering over her in an imposing manner. He was trying to instill fear into her, to get her to submit to him just as he has always done to the others.

He had heard about her and knew that being submissive was something she could never do but he was willing to put that to the test, to see if she could not bend to him.

Clear grey eyes beheld his and something shifted within him.

"You can't possibly think that I'm worth that much"

She sneered and glanced at the black haired she wolf that had knelt for so long and was now losing consciousness due to the silver injected into her.

How could something so easily breakable compare to her?

"Give me the stone"

Every word had passed through tightly clenched teeth and her eyes silently regarded the men in every direction of her.

She could only injure a few of them, let alone the man standing before her. He seemed too confident of himself as he looked down on her, eyes narrowed expectantly on her to make the first move.

"I can smell it on you Erika".

His hands itched to move forward and caress the red locks of hair that resembled fire. The untamed curls were almost begging to be touched by him as he urged himself closer.

"I know what the others don't"

One step

Two steps back

Her back collided with something hard and before she knew it arms wrapped around her like vines, restricting her from making any movement.

"You are making a mistake"

"Everyone makes mistakes love"

Long cold hands caressed her face, sending shivers down her body and a breathless gasp left her lips. She closed her eyes and focused on the buzz around the air, the energy was too immense and she instantly felt relief flush through her.

Every muscle in her body relaxed.

She was not alone.

A moment later a scream pierced through the air and her captor loosened his hold of her.

She turned to look at him and found him crumpling to the ground, succumbing himself to the inevitable death.

Another man lurched himself at her, aiming for her with his fangs when she suddenly brushed him aside with all the strength she could master.

They have become weak and it was showing.

The only thing they were counting on was the rush of adrenaline and hunger to motivate them to fight.

That was a good thing for her because she couldn't have matched any of them in terms of strength and this was the fair advantage she had needed.

A familiar back collided with hers in what became a bloodshed in less than a minute. She had no time to regard her companion when from the corner of her eye she saw the dark cloaked man disappearing into the trees.

The moon was almost beneath the dark clouds, swallowing any shed of light from earlier.

She cursed whoever thought it would be a good idea to make it rain right at this godforsaken moment.

That scumbag had promised her the stone in exchange for the girl and had tricked her instead.

Red hair flew in the breeze as she too dashed among the trees and disappeared into the dark.
