A new ‹morning› came. It means more training to do. Yay.
But before training.
'Wait. I didn't notice it yesterday, but why didn't I feel pain from my forearms after that one burst of pain?'
Looking at his, for some reason still petrifyed, forearms and not seeing any cracks, Frank was wery confused.
He tried cancelling the petrification and as he did this he felt his head splitting again. The information have assaulted his mind again.
---------------------
[The {Reconstruction} ability of {The Gnawed Leaf} has been discovered]
[All of {The Gnawed Leaf}'s abilities have been discovered]
[After mastering them one of the evolution criteria for {The Gnawed Leaf} will be met]
[The {Deep Hibernation} is the part of the main {Reconstruction} ability]
[The known abilities:]
[Petrification - ...]
[Reconstruction - petrified parts of the body will reconstruct themself if they get damaged, but at the expense of a big amount of energy.][Sub-ability: Deep Hibernation - after recieving a critical injury the user will enter a Deep Hibernation state slowly healing all of his injuries and turning into a stone statue. The Deep Hibernation state doesn't use any energy. User can't feel anything while turned into stone and will not wake up until all injuries are healed. If another living soul with bad intentions will find the user while he's in deep hibernation, user will be forcefully woken up with injuries not healed completely and Weaken debuff will be applied on the user (all stats -20%) until the user enters into deep hibernation again] (I've changed it, because it has worked like this all the time, not following the previous rules (I'm dumb I know)).
---------------------
Frank was dumbfounded once again, not knowing how he have discovered it.
'What the fuck have just happened?'
'Uhm, okay, I need to think about it. What could have possibly happened?'
'The only thing I could think of is me eating the whole giant centipede right after the fight, thus giving me enough energy for this ability to awaken'
*rumble*
His belly rumbled in hunger, confirming his thoughts.
Frank went into the left room (the spider room is behind and the centipede room is in front).
Repeating his routine of going through the darkness, he stood before a giant (who would have thought) shrew, and following the trend of this floor it should be venomous as well.
The room was like the others, with nothing aside from the shrew in it. It had two doors, the one he came from and the one to its left.
'It looks like a southern short-tailed shrew a size of a bear, I shouldn't get bitten by it considering how venomous the 10 cm one is, this one should be able to kill an elephant with it's venom alone'.
Turning his right hand into stone and throwing The Seeker at the shrew's head, Frank dashed to the left. The Seeker have pierced the shrew's head, making it bleed, but The Seeker wasn't long enough to pierce the brain. Two seconds later arrived Frank, using the same strategy that he had used on the second Scorat, he had striked The Seeker's handle drilling it further into the shrew's head, killing it.
Shrew had tried retaliating but it was too heavy and slow, showing that the big body isn't that great of a thing. It have worked for Scorat because it had a fast scorpion tail. It still didn't save it from this strategy though.
'Its fur is nice, I should probably make myself new clothes from it. It's good that I have telekinesis that I can use to sew, it would have been hard without sewing needle otherwise. I can make punctures using The Seeker, I can also dismantle my lab coat for threads, that I will need to strengthen somehow. Maybe I should weave them together in a spiral to make a stonger thread, that could work and it shouldn't take too much time with my telekinesis as well'. (He's 191 cm tall now, his old clothes are too small for him)
Thinking all of this, Frank dragged a big shrew corpse to his BBQ room. He sat on the ground near the campfires and started skinning the shrew carefully to not damage the hide. After the skinning, two large pieces of hide were lying on a ground, with one for a jacket and one for pants.
But first, Frank has decided to make some food.
After eating the whole shrew, leaving some little bones behind, Frank started dismantling his lab coat.
'Wait. How do I do that exactly? I've never dismantled fabric into threads' thought Frank trying to figure how to dismantle a fabric without damaging the threads too much.
First, he had decided to remove buttons from the lab coat by cutting the threads that connect buttons with the coat. Next, Frank started making small cuts at the edges of the coat to start slowly taking out the threads using the telekinesis to not snap them. Finally, after dismantling the coat into a lot of small threads Frank started making stronger ones by weaving them in a spiral and then weaving spiral theads together in the same fashion until almost all small threads were turned into fortified threads. (I don't really know how to do this I'm not a tailor or a tanner)
'Okay, I have threads now, I need to clean the fur and grind the hide before making them into clothes'.
After doing this, he began the making of the new clothes. First, he made some punctures in the hide's edges, to later sew them together with a thread. Next, using the pieces of his sweater to cover the openings in the clothes, he started sewing the edges together, forming almost complete clothes. Finally, using the little bones that he didn't eat, Frank started making some sort of buttons for his jacket and a belt for his new pants.
The jacket and the pants were pretty big for him, but considering how fast he grows while being in the crypt, he might become a ten meters tall giant in a few decades, so he have decided on not making the clothes smaller, knowing that he will need to make bigger ones in the near future anyway.
'Finally, I have some clothes, that don't try to squeeze me to death every second'.
Exhaling the breath of relief, Frank went to sleep.
*****************
Waking up full of energy, Frank did some exercises and sat in the corner to start his training.
He had decided to train his petrification and then reconstruction to perfection.
He started doing the same thing he did before, but this time trying to move the runes to every part of his body.
It was hard, but not harder than aura training. Also, the training yielded more results, which made Frank train even more eagerly. But his enthusiasm caused his energy expenditure to become bigger, which he didn't mind, as he can alway go into another room to get himself some food.
~~~~~~~~~~~
You might ask how he usually goes without eating for a month or more. The reason is simple - he is the soul now, which means that he don't need eating at all because he can take the energy from his surroundings full of energy of souls and death. But eating makes him stronger and gives him a lot of energy at once. His training isn't so effortless that he doen't consume any energy, it's just that most of his expenses are covered by the energy in the surroundings, but the expenses are still a little bit bigger, and with time it makes him to want 'food', which is energy, to replenish himself. He could have just waited for a bit to replenish himself, but he doesn't know that and eating makes him stronger so why not go and eat.
~~~~~~~~~~~
To get some food he went into the shrew room and then in the left door.
«Hello darkness my old friend~~~
I've come to walk through you again~~~»
Sang Frank while walking into the room.
The room had the boulder formation consisting of four boulders standing in the middle, the boulders formed a square, with the distance between its corners (boulders) being three meters. In the middle of the formation stood a stone golem.
'It looks like a small gray gem in the middle of its chest is holding the golem together with something like telekinesis' thought Frank before dashing in the direction of the golem, deciding to just tear the gem out of its chest.
The golem looked very clumsy, it was almost three meters tall and one meter wide, its ‹head› was a large boulder, sitting on an even larger boulder with a gem embedded in its middle. The golem's arms and legs were formed by a large amount of pebbles, which looked like they were glued together. The head and the limbs were connected to the main body by some grayish energy.
Frank was already nearing the golem, thinking that a large golem can't possibly be faster than him. He was wrong. Very, very wrong.
When he was half a meter before the golem, he heard a sound of stones hitting and scraping each other. His irises became bigger, hair stood up and aura of fear began leaking out of his body.
