The next morning
It was still early in the morning when Stella stop in front of her parents bedroom ready to knock.
Last night she received a message from Rika telling her that a important seminar is going to be conducted soon. She didn't want to miss it.
'I must settle this right now no matter what!'.
"Good morning". Stella greeted her mother when she opened the door.
"Good morning dear. What happen? Is something troubling you?". Stella's mother asked Stella, seeing her so early in the morning worried that something happen to her.
"Good morning". Stella greeted her father with smile while coming in and he returned it back. He was reading a document, sitting on the couch.
"Nothing, I just wanted to talk to you about something". Stella replied to her mother's question and sat on the couch with her mother beside her.
"Hmm, go ahead". Stella's father said encouraging her while putting the document in hand on the table to listen to his daughter.
Stella went straight to the point, "I got it that thing has been different from what I thought it would be here, but you should know that over the period of time I have started to make plans for my future and I didn't want to stop it now when there's only 2-3 week left for my exams. So I need time to get things sorted out". Stella said with confident firm tone.
Stella's Father listened silently until she finished speaking and let out a long sigh, "It's a good thing that you have things made up for yourself. We know that you are capable of being by yourself and take decision on your own. We also didn't want to impose anything on you unnecessarily or forcefully and respect your decisions. But the situation is a bit not normal as there are lots of factors which are not in our hand and all we want is your safety". Stella's father said. He didn't want to force her and rather sort it out with having a proper conversation.
"Okay, you can go, but you have to promise us something before that". Stella's mother interjected looking firmly at Stella.
Stella's father turn to look at her from Stella. He didn't know what she was going to say.
"We know someone who stays in xx City, and we could totally be assure that you are safe in xx City if you stay over there". Stella's mother said.
Stella's mother gave a knowing look to her husband.
If Stella's father didn't understand what she meant earlier than now he did. By doing this she would be like killing two birds with one stone.
"What?". Stella looked at them in disbelief. "No, I don't think that's necessary". Stella protested. She was not a child anymore to have someone babysit her.
Freedom was too important to her and she still had so many things she needed to do. She definitely didn't want to go.
"We never know if the incident from the previous night might occur again". Stella's father indicated.
'It is just the matter of 2-3 week'. Stella thought. She didn't know what she will do by herself if the incident from the previous night occurs again. She had still not controlled her power yet .
"Okay, I agree". Stella agreed after thinking deeply for a while in which Stella's parent didn't interrupt her. With her situation, she definitely can't stay at her appartment alone anymore.
"It would be best if I start attending my lectures again as soon as possible and not miss them. I will leave in the afternoon". Stella said with a bright smile on her face. Her parents were felling contented for her. She stood up and walked out.
"Did we do right?". Stella's mother asked her husband when Stella left.
They didn't want to force Stella into the marriage. They wanted to give her time to adjust to things around her and herself first and then think about the marriage not rushing her.
Stella wanted to do her things first in this few week through this period if Darren gets through her heart that would be best.
"Time will tell soon". Stella's father assured his wife. They did not have to worry about Stella now because Darren would be there. They trusted him like their own family member.
____
In Stella's room.
Upon leaving her parents Stella gone to her own room and stood in the balcony for a while after easing her mood, she walked back into the room. It is hard to accept what everything is going on. The sudden appearance/emerg of new people that are her family and going through the things which are happening. She is trying hard to catch up with it, trying to accept it.
She didn't have much to pack except some of the clothes and other stuff she brought with Ayla the other day when they went for shopping.
"You are leaving so soon". Ayla enters Stella's room wailing like a kid. She could feel the strong unhappy tone in Ayla's voice.
"I will come back in no time. Just for some few weeks". Stella assured with a smile on her face seeing Ayla.
"You already heard?". Stella asked while folding the cloth properly and putting them in a bag.
"Uncle and aunt had asked Stephen to drop you off at xx City, Pearly Lealand''. Ayla said taking a seat opposite Stella on the bed.
"The Pearly Lealand?". Stella hand stop in midair. She was a little taken aback. Isn't that 'the Pearly Lealand' which is for riches people.
"Yea, that were Darren stay". Ayla shrugged.
Stella : "...."
Damn...She forgot to ask where she was actually going to stay and with whom.
'How could I forgot to ask such an important question. Should I start eating almond regularly'. Stella thought.
Looking at Stella's expressions Alya said "Wait what? You didn't know?". Ayla asked raising her both eyebrows.
"Well they did told me someone who stays in xx City who they can trust. I did not specify ask who". Stella said feeling like she had hit herself with a spade on her leg by her very own hands.
"Then let me tell you my dear. Pearly Lealand, xx City is where Darren stays. There is no doubt about his capabilities and powers, so there is no objection with you staying there. I could tell you, he has high virtues, morality, gracefulness, intelligence too also is handsome plus a gentleman. He is a top-notch calibre, shining with merits….". Ayla started blabbering.
"Stop stop stop. I got it". Stella exclaimed seeing Ayla going on and on. "That's more than enough for now".
'Oh, what's with all this. Amazing! now we are back to square one now'. Stella thought. How she is going to handle this situation.
Stella remember their last encounter which didn't go well. Not the right person for her, she thought. Her impression on him must be in the abyss of the gutter.
Stella : "...."
'He is not the person to protect me but he is the person whom I should protect myself from.' She sigh!
