At the time when Stella was ready with everything to leave. Her parents and Ayla were also present with her waiting outside for Stephen to come and pick her up to escort her.
Stella's parents has told her that she was going to stay in Pearly Lealand with Darren. They have also explained who Darren was. And Stella had acted dump, not knowing about him much except some obvious information.
"Darren is a young prospering businessman in xx City that you must already know of". Stella's father explain.
'More like a tyrant than a prosper.' Stella thought but did not voice it and just noded.
"You must have met him twice by now and also once when we came here first time with you when you were somewhat 6 year-old kid back then". Stella's father continued.
"Our families have been close with each other for many decades now. We hope you don't find it troublesome and if you need anything or have any problem you can always ask Darren or you can come to us, we will always be there for you". Stella's mother said. Stella could tell that she seems kind of relieve now.
Stella's parents were protective about Stella with the way things were heading they doubted if there is anything that could be done. Stella's mother knew for what she had done was for her daughter's well-being.
At the door Stephen came with the car and load Stella's small luggage which has turned big after her mother added some extra things which Stella could not refuse.
After everything was set Stella's mother pulled her into her arm and hug her and Stella did the same.
When pulled back her mother put a gentle kiss on her forehead.
"Off you go now ". Ayla said after giving Stella a hug. Stella got into the car.
Stella saw the mansion past away slowly as the car move forward.
"How did you get to know the sword?". Stella asked turing from the window to Stephen.
"Oh, I have always like sword fight since I was a kid and one day while practicing with the others when suddenly the sword in my hand fell down and then suddenly I was holding something like a huge heavy long stick. It was so surprising. That thing was too heavy for me at that time". Stephen said.
"long stick? Wasn't it a sword?". Stella asked.
"No, it wasn't a sword at first and believe me it was a huge challenge to get to know what it would be for everyone at that time. With lot of practice and knowledge I transform that stick into a sword. It was amazing". Stephen went on tuning the steering wheel over the turn.
"Wow, that's great."
"Now it the best sword. Theirs also one thing with it that is special". Stephen said flashing a grin.
"What?". Stella asked curiously.
" No one but only I can lift up the sword. It become too much heavier when someone else's hold it". Stephen went on.
On the way Stella asked Stephen to park in front of a gift store to get something.
Stephen rather wanted to stay in the car while Stella set of for whatever she wants to buy, but instead she dragged him in with her.
When they got in they were greeted in with the store filled with different kind of things one could find as a gift.
"Help me find a gift for Darren as a thanks". Stella said as she glances at the store. She couldn't think of what to get, Darren must already have everything.
"You got a valentine or something? Don't tell me you are head over heels for Darren". Stefen said, his mouth forming a '0' and he covers it with his hand faking a surprise look while looking at the shelf full of stuff with red colour and heart shape that one could give to their valentines.
The valentine day was just a few days ahead, so the store was filled with different stuff.
"No, I said ' Gift as a THANKS' look on this side of the store not that ", Stella enunciated dragging him to the other side of store . But she saw Stefen face plaster with 'don't fool me' look all over his face.
"I don't think you need one too" Stefen stated.
'Darren would be happy even if you just showed up there'. He thought.
"You don't have to prepare anything," he said.
Stella's brows snapped together at Stephen, "How can we do that, this is my first time meeting him formally and first impressions are very important, you're too shabby!" Stella was unsatisfied. "How about you choose something he likes"
it was because she felt guilty from the previous night incident they meet and whatever she said about him, she decided it was imperative to build a good relationship with him.
"Is there anything in particular he likes?" Stella asked as she go through the shop . She had really got on his bad side and thanking him for saving and helping her is part of what she must do at the very least.
"Nothing in particular". Stefen deadpan putting his hand in his pocket.
Stella crossed one's arms over the other giving a stony stare.
"Ok I will take a look" Stephen scrunched his face and turned away to look around mindlessly.
Stella roamed In the shop for a while not satisfied with whatever she saw. When she thought to look for a different store, One of the helper boy came to her aid.
"I am looking for a thanks gift which is not related to the upcoming valentine." Stella specified as the store was filled with a lot with valentine's gifts.
"Okay, come this way". The helper boy said and Stella followed him.
The helper boy started showing her different kind of things which were somewhat related to a valentine gift.
'What's wrong with this shop?'. Stella thought as her eyes rome around, when her eyes grapes on one particular pen.
The pen is crafted of black lacquer. It is of prominent brand. This company is famous for making great quality pens with great attention to detail.
The pen was of the finest quality. she also wanted it for herself. So, Stella also got one for herself of different color -cream for herself and navy blue for Darren. Stella was done with her gift and got one of it wrap and keep the other beside.
When she was paying she clear her thought seeing the price. Well she knows the pen was of the finest quality but isn't it too much. She thought but then thought it was worth it.
They both got out of the store and at past evening they reached xx city. The car got in the Pearly Lealand side area. Stella look outside the window as the car passed by the tall buildings and soon the mansion started to appear.
The Pearly Lealand was split into two tiers, first with the 2 appartment on each floor and in the heart area the mansion were build.
She realise that they have reached the heart of the Pearly Lealand were the mansions were build. It was the kind were the rich society live. This place could be called a paradise. As he sun has already set the place was lit up.
Stephen tured the car in one of the front gate.
The guard seeing Stephen opened the gate without asking anything. Darren must have already notified the security about their arrival as everyone knows how well tight the secured this area has, no unknown person is allowed to entire without informing securities or having proof or the card which is given to every person who held a property in the area.
Stella's heart raced as the car move forward and stop at the front.
