Chapter 6 - Flirting gone wrong?

Amanda.

That night as she video chatted with her friends her mind kept wandering.

"Amy!" Marie snapped her back into her senses.

"Yeah?" She blinked and stared at Marie's face.

"Mar, I'll just get some sleep.."

"Hey, First tell me what's up with you?"

"Bye-bye." She switched off her phone without any further talking.

"GOD! What did I even do to him?" She growled, Setting her phone on her bedside table.

"Everything okay?"Mrs. Wealth poked her head in and demanded.

"Sure Mom! I'm okay because I get tortured every day from four to nine!"

"What?"

"I have to babysit a little boy and his brother drives me completely crazy!" She cried.

"His brother?"Mrs. Wealth echoed.

"ANSEL!" She shouted.

"Lower your voice," Her mother hissed.

She rolled her eyes.

"Go to sleep."

"No one understands me," She muttered and rolled over on her bed.

The next day she decided to take a day off. No matter what, She was a human being and had cool friends.

"I'm going to the mall today!" She mused.

"Amy! Amanda... Where in the world are you?" Mrs. Wealth shouted from downstairs.

"Here in my room!" She shouted back "The only place I get peace," She muttered the last line.

"Come downstairs!"

"Coming!"

She made her way downstairs, Mrs. Wealth was waiting for her.

"If you want, you can take an off from babysitting," She said as slightly as she could.

"Really mom?" Amy demanded.

"Yeah, Mr. and Mrs. Luck will be home today. So, they won't be needing you,"

Amanda rolled her eyes.

"Oh... And I thought you were thinking about me,"

"Watch your tone, young lady."

"Okay mom, Whatever." She turned and climbed back upstairs.

In the next hour, she was seen leaving the house.

"Thank God you decided to come with us!" Marie gave her a big hug.

"Yeah, My mom decided to go easy on me, and please note the sarcasm in my sentence,"

"Noted." Wren nodded and grinned.

"Yeah, thanks."

"TO THE MALL!" Marie engulfed both of the girls in a hug from the back seat.

"Yeah yeah."

Wren pushed the accelerator and they were off to the world of shopping and flirting.

One eternity later:

After a whole hour and a half, they were completely exhausted.

Marie spotted a table in the food court and the three of them ran for it as if they were running for their lives.

"Hottie alert!" Wren poked Amy and the three of them looked at their left.

Amy's eyes popped out.

"Gosh!"

"Amy, Now it's your chance to mingle,"

"Yeah, You got this!"

"No! What're you talking about. I may end up embarrassing myself."

"Just do it. Pretty please!" Wren begged her.

Amy giggled.

She had never done this before.

She looked over at the guy. He looked up. He was Asian!

Super Hot Asian.

Eventually, his eyes settled on Amy.

She smiled, but it came out a little weird.

"Amanda! Do something," Wren whispered.

But before Amanda could stand up and think of something the hottie had reached over to their table.

"Hi," His voice was deep and nice.

"Hello."

Wren seemed like she was going to burst with excitement.

"Sup?" He asked.

"Nothing... Uh... Eating." Amanda shrugged and pointed towards her food.

This is awkward.

He let out a low laugh.

His laugh is so cute.

She thought.

"I can see that, I... I have something to do here's my number do give me a call, Kitten." He extended his hand towards her and nodded towards her mobile.

With shaking hands, she handed him her mobile.

He saved his number on her mobile, Winked at her, and walked away.

Wren stood up in the excitement and wrestled Amy's phone from her hand.

"Ooooohhhh... His name is Jung!"

"Korean-American thing I guess," Marie nodded.

"Why do you look so excited?" Marie demanded and Wren sat down.

"For my girl!"

"Hey now! I'll probably give him a call, But we'll see what is to be done... Come on, guys! I don't even know him. He doesn't even know me!"

"Okay, Okay!" Wren held up her hands in mock surrender.

"But, I suggest you do give him a call. It's time that you start seeing people before going off to college." Marie suggested.

Amy shrugged.

"Well, I guess so." She whispered, trying hard to avoid thinking about a certain somebody.
