"What's going on here?"
After the voice fell, the sound of yelling and scolding around the little girl disappeared, as if it was all just an illusion.
It was so quiet that you could even hear the sound of the people breathing ...
Next thing she knew, she was already pulled by someone in a gentle manner, and felt something warmth wrapped around her body.
The little girl lowered her head, and saw a soft red cloak around her.
Feeling sour from her nose, the little girl bit her lips, then timidly raised her head to see whom this cloak belongs to. But what she saw almost made her cry.
In front of the little girl, there was a man wearing a beautiful yet expensive suit, and from its left side on his waist, there was a long sword.
It was a knight, a knight who's status was higher than everyone around her, was now kneeling in one knee as he looked at her with full of worry on his eyes.
"Are you okay child?" asked by the knight.
Although the tone was still as deep and full of authority, still you could feel his sincerity and concern, especially when he placed his palm on her head as he spoke.
Instead of fear, the little girl felt her nose becoming more sour and eyes astringent.
For the first time in her life, after her father died, she was being protected by someone.
With a trembling hands, the little girl with all her might, forcibly suppressed her tears that had made her stutter, "I-I'm fine sir. T-thank you."
On the other hand, the knight had misunderstand her. He thought that he probably scared the little girl, thus he patted her back gently, as if coaxing her, then sharply looked at the man in front of him.
And If looks could kill, the man would have been died for how sharp his glance was. "Sir Ron! What do you think are you doing to a child?"
