After I cry about breaking Evan's heart for about a day. Izzie shows up at my door. She gives me a hug when she sees my distraught. "Sad about Evan?" She asks. I nod. We go up to my room and shut the door. She sits on the bed next to me. "We were friends first, you can talk to me about it if you want." She says. "I don't. Not about this." I know Izzie said she's fine with it, but I know it would make her uncomfortable and jealous. "Sorry." I tell her, as I start to work on homework for school. "It's okay. I'm biased anyway." She laughs, and I do too. Just her being here cheers me up.
After we talk for a little while longer, Izzie heads out, since it's night time. I open the front door for her, and I say, "Okay bye." "Bye." We hug each other. She stands there awkwardly for a second, before looking at my lips. I know what she wants. I smile, and kiss her gently. She smiles, and heads out. She's so cute. I keep smiling, until I hear Sam out of nowhere. "Is she your girlfriend now?" He asks, from the couch. "Jesus Sam! Warn a person." "That I'm sitting on the couch? Okay. I'm sitting on the couch." I laugh at his literacy. "So, are you a couple?" He motions at the door, where Izzie was a second ago. "I am not having this conversation with you." I reply. After a second of me contemplating just going upstairs, I walk over, and sit next to him. He's drawing penguins in his notebook, like usual. "If we were, would that be a problem with you?" I ask, hoping he's fine with me dating a girl. "What? No. Why?" He asks. I smile. "You'd be like Sphen and Magic." He tells me, and continues drawing. "Who?" "Sphen and Magic, the two male Gentoo penguins at the Sea life Sydney Aquarium. They built a nest together." He pulls out his phone to show me a picture. "Aww. Cuties." I say. "When a negligent heterosexual penguin pair left their egg exposed to the elements, the aquarium staff gave it to Sphen and Magic. They have a baby now. It's name is Sphengic." He shows me another picture of the two penguins with the baby. "Wow. Look at him." "I think they could have done better with the name." Sam says. "Isn't your penguin named Stumpy?" I ask, smiling. "Exactly, something good." I laugh. I'm so glad he's supportive of me. "Thanks." I tell him. "For what?" He looks up from his drawing again. "For not being weird about this. Or being weird, but in your own way." "You're welcome, now can you please leave me alone, I'm kind of busy." He says, as he shoos me away with his pencil. There he is. I walk away, up to my room. I'm just happy he doesn't find me dating a girl weird. Are we even dating?
