Chapter 13 - Chapter Thriteen

One year later New York was busy today people taking the subway or walking to work. While Harumi was in the car with her baby girl in the back who was asleep while Harumi drove. She would check up on her in the mirror once in a while. Traffic was terrible today but she made it home ringing the door bell for Imogen to come open. As she struggled to carry the car seat and her baby bag along with her purse at the same time. The door opened revealing a brown haired girl wearing black sweatpants and a black sweatshirt. She quickly greeted her lady and took the baby's car seat into her hand. As Harumi push her way into the pent house closing the door behind her she made her way to the living room. Where she threw the baby bag and purse onto the couch and plopped onto the couch her self. Letting out a breath she closes her eyes only for them to fly back open when. She heard Rosie crying from the nexted she quickly got up and rushed towards the room. Imogen was standing in the middle of the room holding a crying baby girl in her arms. "What's wrong why is she suddenly crying" Harumi asked worried about her baby. "I don't know I think she might be hungry" Imogen replied back looking down at the crying baby in her arms. Her mother sighed and nodded her head taking the baby in her arms and proceeding to sit in the pink chair. As she breastfeeds her baby humming a gently tune feeling tired. She never thought being a mother would be this hard... after feeding her baby she put her to sleep. She dragged her tired self to her bedroom and flopped on the bed slowly closing her tired eyes. She took a short nap before she was awoken by a panicked Imogen who had a tars welled up in her eyes. Rubbing her eyes tiredly Harumi asked what was wrong but all Imogen could say was Rosie. And she kepted repeating her name over and over again that's when Harumi jumped out of bed. And ran to her baby's room leaning over in the crib to see there was no baby in the crib confused she turned around. To look at Imogen who was crying after a few seconds she finally told Harumi what happened. "What do you mean how come I didn't hear her cries. And who could've taken my precious baby" Harumi questions falling to the ground nexted to the crib. She was devastated who coul of did this it took her a few minutes to calm Imogen down who just wouldn't stop crying. There was a knock at the door as they hugged they looked at each other and slowly made there way down stairs to check. To see who was at the door especially at ten pm in the night opening the door Harumi saw no one. But a letter on the floor she bends down and picks up the letter closing the door. She walked over to the couch and sat down beside a shaking Imogen. "If you want your daughter back then meet me at this address in china tomorrow eight am sharp" Harumi read out it didn't say who the letter was from but there was plain tickets on the back of the paper two of them. Flights to China tonight there flight would be leaving in two hours Harumi quickly turns to Imogen and yells for her to pack her belongings. They dashed out the pent house and got into the car making there way to the airport and boarding there flight. Which was departing in six minutes they got first class. Finding there seats they sat down Imogen had a worried look on her face Harumi was just panicked. She's never been in this situation before all she wanted was her baby back that's all. Whoever was doing this was going to get a peace of her mind but then she remembered something there was no address on the paper. That made her even more sad and upset suddenly a flight attendant walked passed them but. Placed a piece of paper on the table in front of Harumi she smirked as she walked away. Harumi turned to look at Imogen who was even more scared all she wanted was Rosie. Slowly turning her attention back on the paper Harumi picked it up and read it. Not out loud this time it was the address but it sounded quite familiar to her she just couldn't pick it up. She handed the paper to Imogen who didn't say anything but took the paper and read her eyes widen. Did she know where they were supposed to go or was she just scared again. "I know who took Rosie my lady" she said in full shock. Harumi just stared at her waiting for her to tell her who took her baby. "It was the master he took her I recognize. This address it's the Lei mansion his parents house" she commented still shocked. Harumi just sat there she had not wanted to face Wang Lei and she had not wanted to face his family. All she wanted was to have her baby back and once she does she will leave again but this time. She won't return ever she doesn't want Wang Lei in her baby's life he's had his chance but ruined it the day he kidnapped her. When they laned it was already morning they were also running out of time it was seven o'clock by the time they entered a taxi. Harumi was shaking as she held Imogen's hand as they stood in front of the mansion. It was bigger than she thought taking in a deep breath she dragged Imogen along with her. As they walked up to the door of the mansion bringing her hand up Harumi was getting ready to knock on the door. But the door swung open revealing a maid she bowed and gestured for them to come inside. Imogen looked at Harumi unsure if she should go first or let her lady but of course. Harumi only wanted to see her baby so she went inside first followed by a shaking Imogen who could barely even walk. The maid shut the door quietly and walked in front of the two. "Follow me... and please don't touch anything" she said and turned around heading into the direction of the living room. Harumi looked around as she walked along with Imogen to the living room. Where sat an old woman and a man opposite of them was a middle aged woman holding hands with a middle aged man. Harumi spot Lei sitting nexted nexted to the middle aged man holding a cute baby dressed in a pink and white onesie bear hoodie. As she cried being in the arms of the unfamiliar man. Harumi ran up to him and carefully took the crying baby into her arms hushing her as she hummed the song. That seemed to always calm her down soon the baby had stoped crying and instead started giggled when Imogen walked up with a teary face. And started making funny faces at her it seemed they had forgotten that they were not the only ones in the room because when a deep voice comes into view. Harumi and Imogen jump in fear of it. "Hello have you forgotten we are here" the person said. Harumi turned with the baby still in her arms and stared at the person of the voice. It was the old man who she already guessed to be Lei's grandfather and the other his grandmother. His parents were sitting right nexted to him staring at both the girls and the baby. "What's her name" the mother asked. Harumi didn't reply but instead looked down at the baby in her arms. Who was smiling as she curled up in her mother's embrace taking in her smell. Looking back up at them she looked around at her surroundings like she was in another dimension. "H-her name is Rosie" she replied. "Let me hold my granddaughter" the woman said holding up her hands to take the baby. Harumi backed up with Imogen following along with her before she coldly said "no stay away from us" and with that she turned around in attempted to leave.
