Chapter 14 - Chapter Fourteen

But of course she wasn't going to go anywhere. The people she was with was more stronger than she was. And she knew that because as she neared the door Rosie was snatched out of her arms and carried away by a maid. She turned around and screamed as she ran after the maid. Yelling for her to give her baby back to her but instead she handed the child to the middle aged woman. Who smiled when she held her granddaughter in her arms. But her smile was easily swept of her face as she looked down at the baby girl whose face curled up in annoyance. And by the time you knew she was crying the woman tried to calm her down but nothing worked. They all gathered around but all the baby did was cry even more so they back off. Only to be surprised when she stoped crying and only made tiny little sniffles. Then the voice came into view the humming Harumi was humming the tone she always hummed to calm Rosie down. She was walking in the room step by step she walked over to them they were all surprised. That just humming to some song was calming the baby down and she wasn't even crying. It was like magic to the two parents as Harumi continued to hum. When she stoped she stared at the baby and bit her bottom lip to hold herself back from crying. "P-please just g-give her b-back to m-me" she muttered out stuttering as she said the words. Lei smirked when his mother stared at him his father then stood up and announced something that nearly crushed Harumi's soul. Imogen was just standing there but she began biting her finger nails when she heard the words. "The only way you are getting this child back is if you marry my son. And I know very well that you would never say no to the Lei family Ms. Lin" he said in a cold and deep voice. Harumi clenched her fist at the request she wasn't a Lin and will never be one and she damn well was not going to marry the man sitting in front of her right this moment. But what choice did she have her baby needed her so giving into the request she nodded a yes before falling to the floor and bursting into tears. Lei just watched as his soon to be wife sat there on the cold floor crying her heart out he smirked stood up and walked away. Not even caring to spare her a glance not even his own child who he once cared for. Imogen ran over to her lady and pulled her into a hug as they cried together Harumi hugged her back and watched as the middle aged woman stood up. And brought Rosie over to her Harumi gathered herself and forced herself to a standing position where she took her baby into her hands. And watched as everyone disappeared out of the living room leaving only her Imogen and Rosie. Thirty minutes later Harumi had calmed down it was time for dinner but she had not eaten she breastfed her baby. Who was crying from hunger Imogen also did not eat she stock by Harumi and Rosie's side the whole time. The grandparents and parents were upset that Harumi Imogen and Rosie did not join them for dinner. They were not sure why there son did not just take the baby and marry some other woman. Harumi was playing with her baby girl in her room she and Lei slept in different rooms. Harumi was playing peek a boo with her baby girl when the room door was flung open scaring her. She jumped away from the baby's crib and looked up meeting the cold dark black eyes she once met a year ago. Feeling the coldness coming from Lei cold shivers ran down Harumi's body. He walked closer to her and grabbed her wrist dragging her along with him to the hall way where he began yelling at her. "You better get your act together my parents don't like you and the first. Time my grandparents heard about you I could see they didn't like you" he yelled. Clenching her fists Harumi nodded before walking past him reentering her room making sure to close the door behind her. She went back to playing with baby Rosie once she had fallen asleep Harumi took a shower and went to bed herself feeling tired. She sat on the bed with her phone in her hand as she stared at the messages she had gotten from her boss in New York. Sighing she turned her phone of and put it on the charger and heading to bed. The nexted morning all of them gathered outside to say there goodbyes to each other. Lei was bringing both the girls home along with the baby he made sure to prepare everything that she would need. Harumi set her things in the car as Imogen held Rosie in her arms closing the trunk she turned to stare at the driver. Who stood there shocked to see that she had the grudge to put the things in herself. But he didn't say anything he thought it was wrong to open his mouth to the Queen. Carefully taking her baby into her arms Harumi stood there and watched as everyone kissed her forehead. The mother of course was sad to say good bye to her granddaughter. The baby's mother hated the sight of them touching her baby they called her there little princess. It made Harumi cringe at the thought of them calling her that shaking the thought away. She gestured to Imogen who was curiously watching as Lei whispered something into his father's ear. She was interrupted by her lady who gestured for her to open the car door to the limo doing as told. She opened the door for lady as she climbed inside carefully holding the baby as she did so. Imogen climbed in as well and closed the door helping her lady strap Rosie down in her car seat. They waited for a few seconds until Lei was finally making his way into the car putting his seat belt on. The whole car ride was full of silence as Lei stared into Harumi's soul like he had wanted to kill her. But her attention was on her sleeping baby who was nexted to her. She didn't care about Lei she had once almost let herself fall in love with him. But regained herself after realizing what she was actually there for revenge and now that she got that. She has to make a new plan on how to escape from his grasp again.
