Jeju Island, a perfect place for all the honeymooners, also known as 'the island of the gods' and famously called 'The Korean Hawaii' is the perfect and unique place that provides a joyful road trip experience to the travelers who enjoy adventures.
A newly married couple, prefer going on such adventures and therefore they headed to Jeju Island for their honeymoon.
Driving a Red Ferrari, at night 8 pm, the cold, loveless couple were heading towards the island.
The calm, naive husband was sitting on the co-passenger seat enjoying the cool breeze, surrounded with greenery; while his stubborn, cold wife was driving the Ferrari cursing their marriage in her heart.
When she turned to her right, she saw Alex Kim, her husband, enjoying the view outside, with a happy smile, painted on his lips.
'Why the hell is he happy?' Then she scoffed to herself, 'How can he not be? He married me, CEO of the Park Group of Companies, one of the richest people in South Korea'
Annoyed by his happiness, she turned on the music system, increasing the volume, to disrupt his peace.
Alex Kim, was successfully irritated by his newly wedded wife's actions. He tried to bear with it, as they would be reaching Jeju Island in less than one hour but Ashley again increased the volume.
The music was too loud and after a point, he couldn't take it anymore and therefore he turned down the volume a bit.
Ashley Park, was smirking as she was able to disrupt his peace, increasing the volume of the music system, higher than it was before, she smiled in satisfaction.
Alex again turned down the music while Ashley increased it. This kept on going for a while until Alex ran out of his patience.
"Can you please drive without playing this kind of loud music or maybe we can play something soft. It is currently dark outside and it is better if you focus on the road as driving here at this hour is a dangerous path, I heard accidents are common on this route." Alex tried to calmly put some sense into his wife.
He was indeed right. The road they were driving on was stretched very long where one side of it was water and on the other side there were rocks. The road was in the shape of a zigzag path with blunt curves and frequent blind turns.
One needs to be careful on this road.
"Don't try to teach me how to drive, mind your own business" Ashley rudely replied back as she was not someone who likes taking advice from people, she thinks lowly of.
A day before, these two ill-matched people were bound in a contract marriage. On Ashley's grandpa's insistence they headed towards Jeju Island for their honeymoon.
They were supposed to go to Paris but Ashley intentionally changed plans to avoid spending time with her husband, who she believes is not worthy of her.
If not for her grandpa, she would have never agreed to this marriage.
"I am minding my own business, my safety is in your hands and I want to live unlike you" Alex argued back with her.
"Excuse me? Who said, I Don't wish to live?"
"Well, the way you are driving, it is quite obvious" Alex taunted her.
"Yeah, after marrying you, maybe my will to live has decreased" Ashley counter argued.
"Same here" Alex, was not the one to keep quiet.
Ashley was annoyed with his attitude so she pressed on the accelerator, increasing the speed of the car, and was taking harsh turns, Alex tried to hold on to something as she was driving rashly.
But due to a sudden jerk, he fell towards her and his shoulder rubbed hers.
Suddenly Ashley shouted at him. "Stay away from me, don't take advantage of the situation, I know your cruel intentions, today morning also you tried to…" she trailed off talking as she recollected the incident in the morning.
Alex turned guilty, he apologized to her, "I am sorry for what just happened, I was trying to balance myself but due to your rash driving, I lost my balance. And about what happened today morning, I already apologized to you."
"Don't try to act nice, I know your intentions, you all men are the same." Ashley scoffed at him and rudely replied.
"Ashley, how many times do I need to apologize, please forget the incident and we make a fresh start" Alex tried to pacify her, as he was indeed at fault in the morning.
But Ashley didn't let it go, "How can I make a fresh start with you when you didn't honour our agreement and dared try to kiss me?" Ashley Park shouted at Alex Kim.
