Solaria invited me out to tea today. I had to cross the border. For a cup of tea. A CUP OF TEA!!! ARGHHH!!! WHAT KIND OF OLDEN DAY ENGLISH SHIT IS THIS???
I stare at the cup in front of me, and then at the people around the table.
Why are the Diana royals here... hngggg-
"More tea?" the crown prince offers.
"Uh... no thanks," I smile. "So your highness-"
"William."
"William." I start. "Could I know why I'm attending the tea party?"
There is no way in hell it's because I'm Solaria's friend-
"Because my darling Solaria said that she didn't feel comfortable without you."
"Sorry dear," Solaria sighs from beside me. "I'm just a bit uncomfortable around all of these royals."
"But... shouldn't you get used to this if you marry the prince?"
"I know," she sighs. "But I can't help but think that I would be a bad empress..."
"The prince has a good eye for people," I smile at her. "I'm sure he fell in love with you for a reason."
She rests her hand on her cheek and sighs.
"Ah Miss Crysta."
"Yes?" I stare at the sixth prince.
"Have we met before? My siblings all seem to agree that we have at some point." The royals from Diana stare at me.
"Ah..." Yes. Yes, we have. I played your brother Albert for four years. "No... I don't think so... perhaps it's because I have a common appearance?"
"I see..." they hum. "Black hair is rare in Diana though."
"Ah... my mother had black hair..." I lie. I lied my mom has gold hair and my dad is a brunette. Genetics really don't exist in this world 3. Black hair is the recessive gene. Though if you look at the royals... Albert, Zachary, and Hades have black hair so it isn't that rare in the royal family. Ah the Emperor also had black hair and the concubines were mostly dark-haired too.
"Hm... I guess your mother was really pretty then," The seventh prince butts in. "She gave birth to such a pretty daughter..."
"She was..." I sigh. Crystalia's mom was really pretty... her golden hair... natural waves... ARGH SHE WAS SO PRETTY!!! "It's a shame that I can no longer see her though..."
Oh look at me making up lies like a second language!
The party grows silent, and I speak up. "If you would excuse my rudeness, why are you all here?"
"Ah!" Princess Iyla claps her hands. "Since the war is now over, we are talking about peace treaties since our father refused to sign one when he was ruling."
I snort. "You all talk about your father's flaws... so easily...?"
"Daddy doesn't mind."
"Dad's getting old so he won't be able to do anything either." Zachary reminds.
I stare at the family. Other than Zachary, Princess Iyla and Duke Hades are here. Ah and Felix. What the hell was Felix up to when I disappeared??
"Ah forgive my rudeness but Sir Felix is...?"
"He's my personal assistant." the seventh prince smiles.
Ah. AH?! FELIX??? WhEN?? wHy??? Wait no don't break character you're not supposed to remember anything.
"I see," I hum. "My apologies for asking then. I don't get papers where I live very often."
"Yes," The seventh prince smiles. "Ah so have you thought about the Eclipse's offer?"
"I have," I smile. "But that is between the eclipse and I."
Zachary smiles.
"Ah Miss Crysta." William speaks up. "I heard you grow flowers in your free time. Which ones taste the best as tea?"
"Roses, chrysanthemums, lavenders, and lilies all taste really nice!" I smile. "Ah but I like jasmine tea the best"
"I see."
"Crysta brews really tasty butterfly pea flower tea!" Solaria speaks up. "And apparently it changes color if you add a slice of lemon!"
"The commoner's tea?"
"It makes very sweet dessert as well," I smile.
"Then please do make some for us the next time we meet," The seventh prince smiles.
"I shall make note of that." I smile.
I didn't reject them. A mistake? Probably but at this pace, I'll be returning to the duchy soon anyways. A duchy has to keep a good relationship with the emperor and empress too.
"Ah speaking of which!" I clasp my hands. "Your highness, have you gotten a wife yet?"
Zachary stares into my soul and speaks. "Would you do the honor?"
I stare back into his soul and smile. "Ask the Eclipse."
The prince sighs. "It would be nice if you weren't reserved by the eclipse for my brother... you would make a lovely empress."
"A tired empress." I correct. "I'm too lazy for the throne. I live in a magic-operated cottage in the woods for love's sake."
The prince stares at me and hums. "Lazy people are smart people-"
I kid you not what is this man on? Drugs? Crystal dust? Mans is high on something.
"Lazy people are what?"
"Lazy people who genuinely want everything to run for them will find the best way to be lazy."
"Ok that makes a bit more sense." I mumble. "But still. A lazy empress would bring question to the emperor's ability to make choices."
Zachary smiles at me. "Then do you have anyone in mind?"
Nope because this man killed his wife on his wedding night originally. I might as well let him die single and a virgin <3
Ok, that's rude but mind you Crystalia got murdered by him.
"There seems to be no one that would match the crown prince... unless a daughter of a duchy?"
"Ah speaking of duchies," The sixth prince speaks up. "What will happen to Terence's wife?"
"The lady?"
"Yes."
"She will be executed tomorrow morning," Zachary sips his tea. "As tradition."
How bloody. But then again I wrote this into the novel so... you can really only blame me.
But it also serves her right because damn she tried to steal my ex!!
This woman's insane.
"If you all don't mind, I will be heading off first." I nod. "I have a cat at home and I forgot to fill his plate before leaving the house."
"I see," William smiles. "Then feel free to return home. I hope to see you again in the near future."
"Thank you your highness," I bow.
FREEDOMMMMM!!!!
