'What the hell just happened?' That was the thought tuning through the heads of the two guards who were just now running after Star. One moment they were chasing after that kid and than the next moment lightning. As if that wasn't bad enough, they couldn't see the kid anywhere. Did the lightning kill him? And wouldn't that be possibly be there faults? Since they were the ones chasing him the freaking Strom.
"Tom, hay, Tom."
"what!"
"You good?"
"How do you expect me to answer that? I just saw a kid get turned to.. to.. "
"Hay, clam down."
"Do you have a heart? Did you see what just happened?"
"Yeah, I did and I think it was for the best."
"Sammy, I think that lightning bolt messed with your head."
" What do you mean by that?"
"🤨."
"Look, what I meant was that, it would have been worse for him had we sent him to boss. At the very least he got a quick death."
"Oh!"
"See, am not heartless just ...."
" Hey, look, am not interested in your self appraisal. Am glad we weren't close to him when the lightning stroke."
"Yeah, that was close."
"So what are we going to the boss?"
"what exactly we just saw."
'' Sammy, do you think that's a good idea?"
"Probably not, but we don't have a choice."
Sammy called Mr. Bane and as you can imagine, it didn't go well for the two guards who were being blamed for the incident. Mr. Bane had totally forgotten about the fact that he was the one who asked them to go after Star and that it wasn't their own idear.
"what do you want use to do now boss?''
"Came back now. Don't tell anyone about what happened tonight."
" Yes boss. come on let's go"
" what do you mean by, come on, let's go? What did the boss say?"
" He said to keep a lid on this and come back to base."
"What do you think is going to happen now. Someone is going to notice that he's gone sooner or later."
" But I find myself not caring."
"Poor guy, I hope he makes it to heaven."
Sammy and Tom got back to their car and took off. Their hunt today was a failure after all.
At a faraway place, an odd eyed person opened his eyes.
