'There was rain, I think. Then lightning, then water from the ground. Did I fall into a river or something? There's no river in the city, maybe a swimming pool or a pond. Anyway who cares.
But wait ( start's to look around), if I fall into water, where is all the smoke coming from?'
Star got up from the ground and looked around him. There was smoke everywhere. His first thought was that he was dead but dead people don't choke on smoke, do they? And if he had any thoughts of it being a dream, his wet clothes from the rainstorm quickly wiped it away.
"Where the hell am I? where is all this smoke coming from? How did I even get here?"
As he moved around Star realized that it was gradually getting hotter in the room or whatever he was and he had to get out of there fast.
The thick smoke meant he couldn't see far in front of him so he got down on all fours and started feeling about him.
It was getting harder to breathe, much less see anything. This day was really not one of his best. Star didn't know how long he had been on the ground but one thing was for sure, he was not liking it.
'Am not ready to die yet. why the hell would I choose to die by fire when I could have drowned instead?'
At this point Star was at the verge of tears when his wondering hand hit something. He moved closer to feel it more and find out what it was.
When he touched the thing a second time, it moved and made a weird sound. Turns out the something was a someone which was in a worst state than him and was lying next to the door to freedom.
Star wasted no time in moving the person out of the doorway, opening the door and dragging himself and the unconscious one out of the room.
They ended up in a hallway and since he (Star) did not know where he was or what do now, he decided to wake the unconscious one up.
Star took off his still wet shirt and used it wipe the unconscious one's face. Hopefully, that should be enough. After a while, the unconscious one moved a little but nothing more. So the now upset Star decided to go drastic. He held the unconscious one's nose shut, hopefully the lack of air would wake them up.
It worked.
''oh look, not dead. hey, do you know where we are and how to get out? I think this place is burning down."
The unconscious one, who no conscious looked at Star blankly, like he couldn't get what Star was saying to him.
'slap'
That should wake them up fully.
"Are you awake enough now?"
"You are going to pay for that.". came the voice of the unconscious one. it was raspy and odd sounding but strangely sexy.
"If you are conscious enough to threaten me, than you should be able to get us out of here"
The unconscious one looked at the person before him, used his spirit to scan the building and signed.
The unconscious one suddenly moved, caught the small human in his arms and teleported them out of the building. Then he let the darkness take over him again.
