As soon as she came up to the Emperor, she bowed and paid her respects to the Emperor and the Princess. "You go with him and keep an eye on him. If he tries to escape, kill him then and there." Soya gave her instructions to Ryu. Then she turned her focus towards Avon and said, "She is my friend from childhood, Ryu. If anything happens to her, or if you try to escape from there, first she will kill you and then, she will inform us." While Soya expected Avon to readily agree, Avon sounded discontent here as well, "I won't go with her. She won't be of any help to me," said Avon, throwing away the chained dagger he was holding. Ryu didn't say anything but Soya was quite upset with Avon's behaviour. "How dare you say something like that? What do you think of yourself? Don't you dare mistake her for any normal girl, you won't even last a second in front of her," said Soya.
Avon, then, thoroughly scanned Ryu, but he could not find anything special about her body structure. But it was also true that he was not able to read her mind as well. "I am fine by myself," said Avon and turned around to walk away from there. Just then, Ryu put one of her swords on his neck. "If you consider yourself capable enough, then show us by beating Ryu...without using your powers. If you can beat her, you may go however you want. If you lose, you have to take her with you." Soya said to Avon. She knew what she was doing, and was doing it to perfection.
"This princess is really mad, wants to get this poor girl killed for nothing," Avon was thinking in his head. Putting everything aside, Avon steadied himself for the battle ahead. He extended his hand and the chained dagger came back in his hand, while Ryu, too, took her other sword out. The crowd backed away, giving them space, in anticipation of the ensuing battle. As the two of them broke loose in a fierce battle with their reputation at stake, but this time, even Avon was left awestruck. Ryu was able to nullify all of his moves. Avon swung his chained dagger with every opportunity he got. But she would dodge most of them by jumping away or using backflips to unsettle his moves, or her ability to effortlessly dodge his dagger using the tiger jump. Her skills and agility were putting Avon in a spot of bother. And this time when Avon swung his dagger towards Ryu, she side flipped into the walls and climbed on top of the dagger in an attempt to make her finishing move. Finally, this time around, Avon had to make another of his swords to block her final move. Both of their swords hit each other as they looked into each other's eyes for the first fine. And, for a few seconds, Avon kept staring into her eyes.
