"When you've been to our timeline several times in the past, why haven't you tried to contact me or Avon earlier?" Nancy asked her. Soya settled herself comfortably on the chair, and continued, "This is not my first attempt, Nancy. I tried several times, in the past, to contact either of you, but every time I tried to take the initiative, there would be something brewing up between the two of you. And they put me off from what I thought of doing or wanted to do." Nancy understood the point Soya was trying to make, as she slowly drifted away to her chain of thoughts, "You Know, earlier I could talk to Avon whenever I wanted. But now, even this connecting chain cannot trace Avon anywhere. Back at Lisa's place, I used it to talk to Avon through telepathy, but never got a response, and I knew that he was not my Avon." Nancy said, with a heavy heart.
For some time, both of them went silent, contemplating certain things inside their head. "It took me a while to learn your language. When I visited your timeline for the first time, I was very scared looking at the machines and people here. Everything is very noisy here," Soya said to Nancy. "What timeline is Avon in?" Nancy asked her. "Avon is stuck four years behind my timeline. There I used to be very stubborn and unyielding. So, I want to fix things as soon as I can," Soya.
Then the waiter came in with their food and started serving them. After a while, Nancy got a message from Eva. Eva had made all the arrangements for their journey to Mr Singh's location and had booked all the automatic rides and flights. A cab was supposed to reach there in five minutes and pick them up. Soon, the cab arrived and both of them settled in nicely inside that automatic cab that was meant to take them to the airport. "Is there something that I should know in advance?" Nancy asked Soya.
