Currently, I was being taken to the Royal Palace of the Kingdom of Renhard. Not as a guest but as a criminal. I was arrested on the charge to raise hand on the knights. So was it, but I can understand the real reason why red hairs arrested me. He was surely wary of me as he was looking at me again and again with slanting eyes.

With the knight pushed me into the looker and asked me wait. Maybe red hairs is going to join me after sometime.
I sat at the corner of the room and looked up at the ceiling.
"Huh, not so stylish. This room is so boring."
I sighed.
"Maybe you should get used to it."
I heard a voice as the door of the room in front of me opened.
"Can I ask, why I am brought here?"
"Heh, you will understand soon."

He smiled and snapped his fingers.
2 knights enter the room one carrying an iron rod and other with thick and large shackles.
"Don't you think this room is bit different from a normal lock up?"
Really, this guys smile never fade away.
"Yeah, that's what I am thinking since I arrived. What is it?"
"Don't you dare to struggle."
Saying that, he glanced at knights as if giving them a signal. They nodded and approached me.

"Stay still!"
"Hey, what the meaning of this? May I ask what is it that you are trying do."
The knights grabbed my both hands and handcuffed me with the shackles they brought. Then they pushed me to the wall, fixed the shackles on a iron pin above and lifted me in air.
I was hanging on the wall, staring red hairs.
"Oh c'mon, please don't give me that look. I'm just doing my job."
"Really?"
"Look, I'm gonna ask you some simple questions. If you answered me truthfully, I assure that no harm will come to you and you will be freed."
'Do you really think that you can do anything to me? What an idiot.'
I sighed, then faced him.
"Alright, if you really mean it then I'll cooperate."
"Thanks, I guarantee that. Now then my first question is..."
He leaned forward. Looked me into the eyes. From the time being he arrived in this room, he kept the a constant smile on his face, but his eyes were not smiling.
"Tell me everything you know about Lufi Empire and Demon kingdom."
"...What?"
"Do I have to repeat myself? Answer me every single detail you know."
"If that's your question, then I have nothing special to say. All I know is that Lufi is a neighboring country of this kingdom and Demon kingdom is a country of demons ruled by the demon king, which is around 5,000 miles in the east from this country."

He punched me on face. Knights behind him take a back after seeing it.
I glared at him. I controlled my anger cause I know this will be coming. I even weakend my body so that if he torture me, the sign of being beaten down can be visible. If I didn't do that, his attacks will have no effect on me, and he will become more suspicious that after all the beating, the man in front of him is unscratched.
"What, you gonna hit me?"
He tried to provoke me.

He punched me again and again. On face, in abdomine, on chest. I keep vomit.
"Answer me!"

Red hairs shouted at his men. They looked terrified
by the way red hairs was torturing me.
"Alright, let's see for how long you are going to shut your mouth."

The sound was rod hitting me was echoing in the whole room. Blood was all over my body. He hit me on legs, arms and even on face.
"Now, tell me!"
"...No matter how much you torture me... my answer... will be same..."
"Tch, now you are pissing me off... Alright, then prepare yourself to suffer."
He released my left hand from shackles. Took my arm in his hand and then hit on deltoid region of my arm with rod again and again, until my arm hang dislocated.
He then put the rod under my arm and squeeze the rod.
"Aaaughhhh!"

In the end, my arm broke and hang in air.
"Now, how was that? Are you willing to confuse that you are a spy."
"I already said it... and will say it again, I am not a spy or criminal... I am innocent."
"Wh-!? You. How stubborn of you, still not willing to admit anything. Alright then, I will go all-out."

I have been tortured for 5 hours, my whole body was covered with blood.
He turned his attention towards me.

A knight entered the room. He looked at me, and got stiffened but Red hairs broke him out.
"Huh, what do you need? Don't you see, I'm in middle of the investigation."
"S-Sorry for i-interrupting you, sir. But h-his majesty has c-called for you."
"Tch, seems like you are lucky today."
He said to me.
"Alright. Tell his majesty that I am on the way."
"Y-Yes, sir."
With that he left with all the knights.
I spit the blood out from my mouth.
"Seriously, I can't help but laugh. All the time he spend torturing me was for nothing...Heh, broken arm my ass. What type of torture is this, it felt like tickling."
Yeah, it would much more to make me feel 𝙥𝙖𝙞𝙣.
I lived for so many years. All these time I have experienced countless things. Pain, deaths, destruction... such thing are normal for me.
I have witnessed countless near-death experiences. A torture like this, no, I can't even call it a torture. Beating like this, heh... I can't even feel it. It was like punishing a 5 year old naughty child, though, I didn't even feel that too...
Sometimes I ask myself, why am I like this? Whose fault is this? I can't feel any emotions, I don't even have any feelings... All I had, was snatched away. Why? Just why? Is this what it takes to be the strongest?
Maybe it was my fault. Everything comes with a price... It's the price I have to pay for the sins I committed. No one, but me... Only I can save myself, help myself and... only can pay debt of my sins.
No matter what, I will succeed. I never give up and never will. I will rise up for sure again.
Seriously, even after so much, I still don't know how to give up, I never learn. I really am pathetic.

I laughed at myself.

Red hairs taunted me just as he entered the room.
"So what, are you going to continue from where you left?"
"Nah, I have came to realize that there nothing I can get from you."

"I believe now that you are innocent."
"Really, I didn't feel looking at you. Do you really mean it?"
"Of course not...Though I have to have to admit I can't believe that you are still conscious after all the torture. No one has ever survived my torture, either they give up or lose consciousness, but you. You are different."
He came near me and look into my eyes.
"Just who are you?"

I didn't answered.
"Well, we will find it out sooner... That being said, damn you really are lucky, you know? I am not going to torture you today anymore. Tomorrow, you will be presented before his highness, the king. And I will make sure, to make you confuse in front of everyone."
With that he left the room with a grin.
"Hm, maybe I'll rest for now..."
