Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

A few weeks has passed after the young master's recovery, the manor that used to be noisy from the young master's mischief and people's complaints, was now silent. Only a few whispers from the maids and other workers could occasionally be heard as they talked about the issue with each other. The vampires, especially noble vampires like the Cassius family could naturally hear these whispers but they didn't reprimand them as they also have the same concerns.

The young master was very cute, lovable, and obedient when he was just a toddler but at the age of 8, he suddenly became mischievous. Always pranking the maids and other servants. At first it was just harmless pranks and the victims could just overlook it but after some time passed the intensity of his pranks went higher. Until it could no longer be called pranks but punishments for no reason at all. Oh wait no, there is. If he was in a bad mood, he would yell at the person he saw first, that would be the lightest punishment but he would whip a servant if he's in a really bad mood. His parents overlooked his behavior, thinking that it was just a child throwing a tantrum.

The victims could only grit their teeth as they received the blows and spoke nothing of it. Although the boy was fragile and weak, the blows still carried some strength especially when he's using a whip, the degree of pain was enhanced. The young master was a little tyrant until he reached the age of 10 and was well-behaved a week before the ceremony to prepare his body. The servants could finally sigh in relief for a week of leniency that was granted to them. Although upon realizing that after the young master passed the ceremony, they would be punished even worse than before, they immediately wilted.

When the young master recovered, some maids in the room who experienced the tyranny of the young master, cried as they could only hope that the young master wouldn't be an upgraded tyrant, although the chances were slim. Even though they were badly treated, they still voiced out some concern for the boy since he was their young master and should be treated with utmost respect. Especially since the mother was present.

Upon opening his eyes, the young master only gazed around the room blankly, making some maids reflexively raise their guard, waiting for the young master's command but after waiting for quite a while, the young master just blankly stared at the ceiling.

When they voiced their worries, the young master just tilted his head to the side as if questioning them what they were so concerned about. It was a lovely sight that reduced their quivering hearts to puddles, even though they were so afraid just earlier.

The madam asked her son, worried by his silence when the young master suddenly gripped his head in agony. The madam asked them to call for the family doctor so they immediately complied. After bringing the family doctor over, they saw that the madam was comforting the young master so they didn't dare come in, afraid that they might disturb them.

When they were done talking, though the madam was the only one speaking, the family doctor finally went inside to check the young master's condition. The doctor said that the young master was alright and just needed more rest but just in case, he'll drop by again after a few weeks to check the young master's condition in his optimal state.

The servants resumed with their appointed task and toughened themselves for the upcoming tyranny of the levelled up tyrant. They could only sigh in despair as they imagined the strengthened young master's whip attack could kill them with one blow.

A few days had passed upon the young master's recovery and the atmosphere was still tense as they waited for the young master to vent his emotions on them. From days to weeks, they waited and waited but nothing happened.

The first few days, they just saw the young master was laying on bed, staring dazedly on the ceiling. After a week they just saw that the young master spent his time by either sleeping, reading books quietly, having his own tea time, painting in the garden in tranquility, or strolling around the garden. Weeks have passed and it was spent in the same manner.

At first they were on guard, then suspicious, but after a few weeks and nothing still happened, they began to be concerned about the young master's sudden change in behavior. He was awfully quiet about it. It caused distress on the people who cared about him but he took no notice of this and just spent his time quietly.

The family doctor finally arrived at their appointed time and ran a series of tests on the young master. It turns out that the young master's sudden change of behavior was the cause of the ceremony. While undergoing the ceremony, young vampires could experience an 'enlightenment' making them have a change in behavior, though only a few could experience that. Similar cases already happened so it wasn't really concerning.

Both the parents and the servants were at a loss on how to handle this kind of situation. Nevertheless, they could just act the way they are since it would be better than to fake their approach to the young master.

The said young master was oblivious to all their concerns as he was deeply immersed in his own thoughts. After researching with the books as his guide, Ryo finally has enough knowledge on how this world works so he can finally integrate himself in this new strange world and accept this fate.

This world have different races and it also contains magic. The vampire race were considered to have a dark attribute since they were technically undead. They were also feared because they were one of the strongest race. Vampires not only have super strength but they also move fast, coupled with their sensitive senses. They only have few weaknesses. The only race who was on par with them would be the werewolves. In the past, they were extremely hostile with each other but as years passed by, they eventually became at peace with one another.

Also, he finally found out why his name and this setting was awfully familiar to him after getting enough days for himself to think. This was the otome game that his sister recommended for him to play when he was bored.

Some people who transmigrated in an otome game would probably be distressed for a while but not him. Upon knowing how rich his family was in this world, he rejoiced as he thanked all the Gods that he knows. Oh and of course the shit that transported him here. This family was so damn rich that he didn't even have to work hard in this lifetime and they would still have more than enough fortune to spend.

Vampires have extremely long lifespans so saying that he could fend himself for a lifetime indicates just how rich this family was. Unlike in his previous world, their parents died, leaving him and his sister to fend for themselves at a very young age.

No relative would even want to adopt them since they didn't want the additional burden. So as the eldest brother, he worked himself to the bone. Juggling between his studies and work to provide for him and his sister. Although they only have each other, they didn't have the luxury to spend more time with each other since they would use as much free time as possible to work on part time jobs.

After graduating, he had to immediately work since his sister still needs money to pay for her university fees. That's also the reason why he endured that awful company. He didn't even have the time to spend for himself. He only had the chance when he was fired and blocked from getting employed. Thankfully, that incident happened when his sister was already successful in her career. He didn't have to worry about her anymore.

That's why although he sacrificed so much for that brat, he just felt slightly sad at suddenly leaving her behind. He doesn't know whether he can go back to his previous world but if ever it wasn't possible, then he was still fine with that since his sister can now stand for herself.

He remembered that there were 4 capture targets for the player and they could choose which among the 4 targets would they have a happily ever after ending. There was also a reverse harem route but the difficulty was higher since the player has to capture all the targets. The setting was in an academy for all races, cliché setting yes. Also they were at the age of 16 above when the game started so he still has 6 years for himself.

He found out why his name was so familiar, it was because he was one of the villainous characters that constantly became an obstacle for the female protagonist to achieve a happily ever after with a certain target. The reason why he was such a villain was because he harbors a deep grudge against the female protagonist. He can remember some reasons why but he couldn't recall the major reason why the villain hated her so much.

It was because before he could even find out why, he stopped playing it halfway since his character was always asking for the capture target's help, it was pretty boring for him and he didn't want to spend money on a mere game. He could only hear occasional spoilers from his sister, which he didn't take seriously. Now he couldn't help but want to strangle the him from that time for not playing the game until the very end.

It would've been a great help for him to look out for the major events so he could at least come up with proper countermeasures. He could only rely on himself in this strange world but if the situation was too much, he could just let his parents handle it. He won't admit that he's just too lazy to even use up a bit of his brain.

His sudden change of behavior was already explained by the doctor so he doesn't have to worry about going ooc. That was just the perfect excuse for him to act like himself.

Anyway, now that he was transmigrated to this world, although his knowledge was from the otome game version of this world, he wouldn't treat it as a game. Instead, he would live the most leisurely life without too many worries and do whatever he wasn't able to do in his previous world.

Months passed by and he spent his time in leisure but he couldn't help but feel as if he forgot something. His guts were telling him that it was extremely important but he was too lazy to think about it because hey, if it was really important, why would he forget about it?

He didn't think that this laziness would cause great damage to his family.
