Theo spent the next few days sleeping without training or eating .. he was in his deep slumber .. and so far four days have passed since he returned from the test ..
His dream in the past three days was nothing to be worried about but on his fourth day .. he was dreaming about his world being destroyed and the destroyers didn't leave no one alive .. he was sweating and huffing and panting in his sleep .. when he turned around he saw a shadow of a giant monster .. approaching him .. "Aaaah" he woke up with his body glowing gold and lightning streaks were burning the sheets .. he sighed deeply and went in his kitchen and made himself some breakfast before he went to his tour for today .. "System how long has it been since I've been asleep ..?" the window interface appeared before him 'Four days have passed .. but not to worry .. there was nothing important happening in those days .. ' it assured him .. after eating his breakfast he went to bath .. and dressed up after that .. "I think I should head to the canteen .." when the door opened he saw someone familiar with a nervous expression on her face at the door .. pacing forth and back .. when she heard the doors opening she grabbed his sleeves and rushed for the entrance "Uh .. wait .. what are you doing ..?" the only thing he could see was her streaks of hair invading his mouth and eyes ..
Then they stopped infront of the entrance that had just opened up for them .. and she continued running through the canteen .. until she halted in her steps infront of a door with a chest piece carved into it .. "What's going on ..?" she only looked at him .. and the way she was acting she was clearly in a hurry .. "Open" the door opened and both of them went in .. "Young man .. we meet again" the head general from before stood by commander's Britt's side .. "Rose thank you for bringing him here .. clearly this guy doesn't know how to arrive on time" Theo looked at her with his head dropping on his side .. "Arrive on time?" he looked at his window interface one more time .. and 15 messages have been sent .. by the head general and the commander herself .. 'This system is going to pay for lying to me' he made himself look formal and approached the desk gently with slow steps .. "What's is commander Britt ..?" she then looked at the head general before frowning .. "Commander Britt isn't the one that called here .. soldier ... I did" Theo showed a dumbfounded expression with his left eyebrow twitching .. 'Are these guys playing with me .. they should know that I'm very special ..'
"Soldier .. I wanted to know if you'd like to continue with the tests .. and become a high ranking soldier .. ?" he smiled but Theo didn't show any concern or any interest in what she was saying .. "And how many more tests must I go through this time ..?" he started picking his ear .. 'This guy .. he doesn't even show respect in the head general's presence' rose thought looking at Theo from his side .. "In these tests you just have to fight to climb the ranking board .. and since you're soldier 120 000 .. it's going to be a long time before you reach the first ranking soldier title .. " Theo's eyes went blank when he heard the number the head general had called out ..
"Wait a minute .. did you say rank 120 000 ..?" he held tight on his hair pulling it violently .. .. the head general nodded .. "Ah , since Rose is a captain .. what rank is she ..?" Rose's smile twitched and her eyes narrowed at Theo .. "Rank 30 000 .." the commander said with her hands resting on her temples .. "Oh .. I didn't realise .. you guys had so much people .. " he said with his mind busy trying to swallow the information 'That means .. there are other people behind me in ranking .. although I can fair better against all the 120 000 soldiers in the high ranking board .. I simply won't have the desire to rest .. 120 00p soldiers hey .. I guess I'll take on the challenge ..' he looked at the commander with a stern face .. "Or you can just go on a quest .. to climb the ranking .. but of course if you somehow reach a rank above you .. the person the same rank as you will challenge you .. to claim his or her rightful position as a soldier .." now Theo was annoyed 'Couldn't they just tell me the other option first before making me think hard about fighting .. these people are cruel' he nodded afterwards looking at the commander .. "Well if you want to go on a quest you ha ve to bring at least a captain with you .. and you have to choose missions that respond to your ranking .. but if you complete a mission of a high rank . you're able to only rank in that position .. and you know what happens after that ..
" Theo turned his head to look at Rose and smiled at her "Wait .. no .. " Rose stepped back a bit seeing where Theo was coming from .. "I mean you still owe me for invading my privacy .. back in the cave .. and your men hurt me real bad .. you know" he made a crying face .. pouting infront of her and the two .. 'Why is he acting so childish ..?' the commander thought looking at him with a twitching eyebrow .. "It's fine Rose you can go with him .. I'll postpone the other quests .." Rose nodded nervously ..
"Okay .. you can start whenever you want .." Theo looked at Rose .. and pondered for a moment "I think I can go on a quest .. since I've been sleeping .. for so long .. so where can I find the quest board ..?" the head general .. turned his head to Rose's direction .. "Captain Rose .. will show you .." Rose sighed and headed for the door .. "Good luck .." the head general said afterwards with a smile on his face .. 'Hmm .. this girl is kind of antisocial ..' Theo thought as he followed behind Rose .. she always had her armour on .. whether it was in the canteen or anywhere else .. she'd still have her armour on .. "Uhm .. hey .. I know we didn't get introduce ourselves better .. back at the cave ... I'm Theo ... if you're going to ask for my full name .. then I don't have one .." Rose chuckled whilst she still led him around the military base .. "I am Rose Gaumond .. the captain of 1000th squad .. I've been here for at least 19 years .." Theo then fastened his pace and caught up with her waking by her side .. "Uh ??¿¿ .. 19 years .. how old are you ..? don't tell me you're 75 .. and you're one of those people who can choose whether to age or not .." he widened his eyes leaning close to her face .. she blushed as she chuckled .. "No .. I'm actually 20 .. " she said with a giggling voice .. "Oh I see .. " she then looked at him .. "And how old are you .. if I may ask ..?" he turned his head from her gaze and looked away .. focusing to their destination .. "I am actually 25 .. although you may think my world produce species of humans that live for more than 1000 years .. and that we can choose whether to not age ourselves .. that's not really how it is .. well yeah .. we can choose whether we want to age or not .. but for me .. I'm just a youngling .. my family once forced me to marry a 125 678 years old lady . who looked exactly like a teenage girl .. even though she was beautiful .. .. I didn't even agree to her proposal .. I mean .. I don't care about love if someone doesn't love me .. ya know .. because in that world power is what keeps people going forward .." he sighed lowering his head slightly down .. "Oh sorry .. it sounds like you guys still live like the kingdoms where you were forced to marry another person for alliance and money .. " her eyebrows faced up .. "Ah well .. I'm pretty glad that I ended up here .. but I'm not sure they're going to just let me go off like that .. " she then put her hand on his shoulder and showed sympathy .. "Anyways .. we've arrived .."
