Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Zoldyck Experience

It was currently June and an important moment in time was coming up. Soon, Sakumo Hatake would be returning from a failed mission. In this time I was spending more time at parks and reduced the time I spent hunting as I had gained almost full mastery of Beast Breathing Techniques. My next step should be... Gourd Training.

I was pretty proud of my stats as I had almost crossed the threshold for becoming a Genin. After I reached a certain level... I would leave this village, after all, it was the centre of a lot of attention in the coming years and I simply want to grow stronger in peace before the arrival of the otsutsuki. Still, there were also benefits to reap by staying here and I definitely wouldn't hesitate to gain some. I planned on leaving some sort of teleportation marker here. One such benefit is the amount of chakra I could gain by "accidentally" killing...say...the female jinchuriki of the 3-tails...

Snapping myself out of those thoughts, I saw a white-haired, middle-aged man walk into the park and I cracked out into a small smile.

...

Sakumo Hatake was a man who had just sacrificed everything for the sake of his friends and knew the risks that it could carry when he returned home. Yet, even though he knew that, it still affected him when he got back. It had been mentally crushing him for the past few days and today he thought to get some fresh air and now he was at the park.

However, before he could finish his walk, he saw a 10-year-old kid walk up to him with a bright smile on his face,

"Say uncle, why do you look so sad?" said the kid with a confused expression on his face before handing over what seemed to be ice cream.

Sighing to himself, he thought about what could happen if he talked to this kid about his problems but then sighed and decided, since he had almost given up with life, what's the worst that could happen? The kid tapped on the bench and asked him to come and sit next to him.

"My name is Sakumo by the way... Kid sometimes in this world, even protecting the people that you love is the wrong thing to do. I should've just focused on the mission..." He started mumbling to himself before he could finish though, the kid interrupted him.

"But Uncle Sakumo, those that break the written and unwritten rules, of course, are trash… but be that as it may… Those that disregard their comrades so easily are even worse than trash. And those who don't have the decency to respect the memories of their comrades are the worst. As long as you don't give up, there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel. Don't you think?" The kid said with a large grin on his face.

Sakumo was quiet for a long time as he sat next to the kid who was enjoying his ice cream as he thought over what the kid said. He was... Right.

'This kid' He thought before shaking his head and replacing his expression with a light smile and then got up,

"Kid, what's your name?"

"Err, it's Raiden. Raiden Ambrose, I'm in Class 2-A and plan to graduate this year" He says scratching the back of his head before waving at him and walking off.

Sakumo was going to remember this kid's smile.

...

I walked out of the park with a smile on my face and thought about the next things that I could do. However before I could do anything, I heard someone shout my name.

"Raiden, over here!!!" shouts a small green-clothed kid. I turn to the side and see Might Guy walking over with another kid...

'Fuck. That's Kakashi, right? I'm not on the level of a Chunin right now' I mentally sweatdropped before gathering my thoughts.

"Yo guy, how's thing's going?" I smile at him before pausing and turning to face Kakashi, "And who's this friend of yours?"

Guy scratches the back of his head, " uhh heh. Yeah, I guess I never introduced you guys. Kakashi, this is Raiden. Raiden, this is Kakashi. I met Kakashi when we were both 5, he helped me out of a tough spot."

I nodded thoughtfully before Guy turned to speak to Kakashi, " I met Raiden one day after school and we ended up training together whenever we could. This guy always outpaces me dammit! My Youth is indignant!" he continued while he burst out and shouted he was going for another run to outdo me. Sigh, in your dreams kid.

Sighing, I start talking to Kakashi, "That kid always sees it as a competition"

"Yeah, I apologise as well, he's very headstrong." Sighs Kakashi before waving me away and saying, "Good luck with your genin exams, by the way, I look forward to the day I fight you and Guy"

I grinned simply as I started waving while walking away.

'The day I get to fight the son of the white fang huh...interesting...at least it'll save me from some boredom' I thought.

Walking home, I noticed that same girl who was crying last time...huh interesting. Her family must have it pretty bad huh?

...

Another 5 weeks passed and it was the beginning of July,

Inside my room, I sat at my desk again, thinking. It was nearly time for mine and Guy's Genin exams and I thought it was time to decide on what I could use my stocked up points for.

Thinking about it, the best thing he could attain right now since he would use it soon would be some sort of quick kill skill to go along with the unpredictable nature of his sword style. These thoughts brought him to the anime that people knew as HxH, especially to the Zoldyck Family. One only had to look at the youngsters of the family to understand how good of an assassin family they are, especially with their resistances and ability to manipulate their body so finely.

Hence, After coming to that conclusion, he started drawing another potion...then typing...

[A potion that gives a full experience of the Zoldyck Family's assassination training and conditioning as well as their skills. Grants a 25% Resistance to Poisons, Fire and electricity]

[500 Chakra points, Confirm Y/N]

'Ah Shit here we go again' I thought...

Why do I feel like a person who abuses the power of coupons to find gains wherever I can...Sigh,

[A potion that gives the trained experience of Killua Zoldyck's assassination training and conditioning as well as his physical skills. Grants a 25% Resistance to Poisons, Fire and electricity]

[240 Chakra points, Confirm Y/N]

"This...This is acceptable. Although I'm going to have to go out and gain more Chakra to make up for this cost though." I sighed and laughed at my situation, "Damn I am truly the greatest coupon seeker..."

Before long, a large purple potion appeared before me and without any hesitance, I downed it. Immediately after that, I passed out from what seemed like a sensory overload. Damn.
