Edward
My beloved fell asleep on the car ride back home. I figured auditioning the whole day and having a laughter filled dinner had exhausted him. His head was resting on my lap and at times he would open his eyes, stare at me for a few seconds before he went to sleep with a satisfied smile. I wondered what he was thinking about in that little head of his to keep him so amused.
When we arrived at the mansion, I felt a bit guilty I had to wake him up. I could not carry him since I was not fully healed and did not want to risk the possibility of causing one of my wounds to create more problems for me. My walking had improved with rehabilitation, but I was still struggling to walk long distances without my cane.
"Love, we're home," I shook his shoulder gently stirring him out of his slumber.
"I'll just sleep right here," he groaned and hugged my thighs so I could not stand up.
