The things that were on the wheel in front of him were things that he had only seen in novels before.
There were some simple things like guns and swords, but then there were special items that had a different coloured spaces compared to the other items on the wheel.
Some of these special items included an invisible sword, an explosion talisman, even a cultivation technique.
This made Lin Fan begin to wonder, could it be that cultivators really existed in this world?
But then again, as the system had said, this was supposed to be a different world from the one that he was originally from. He had even confirmed this with the various minute differences that he had seen with this world's history and entertainment scene.
Then did that mean that there was the possibility of cultivators?
One of Lin Fan's dreams when he was younger was the ability to fly on swords because that was something that just seemed so cool. Being able to fly through the sky on swords, it would definitely make you feel cool and look handsome.
Lin Fan didn't wait any longer as he pressed the spin button that was right in front of him.
There was a flash of light as the needle on the wheel suddenly lit up before spinning at high speeds.
It continued spinning and spinning, showing no signs of stopping. It kept spinning for a full five minutes before there were finally signs of slowing down.
When the needle was finally slow enough to follow, Lin Fan watched it with bated breath as it slowed down more and more. Lin Fan looked ahead of the needle to see where it would land and there was one prize that caught his eyes.
It was a cultivation manual for sword controlling techniques.
If he could learn that and was able to fly through the sky on a sword…
Well, if he really did do that, it would be more likely that he would be shot down by the army for passing through restricted airspace…
Still, he could still dream.
The needle slowed down and it came closer and closer to the cultivation manual, but right before it could reach it, it stopped one space right before it.
Lin Fan couldn't help giving a bitter laugh, it seemed like his luck really was terrible.
But still, at least he had won a prize, which was better than nothing.
Lin Fan looked at the space that it had landed and was surprised to see what prize he had won.
"Congratulations host, you have won Telekinesis (Low Level)."
Telekinesis?
He understood what that word meant, but would it really be what he thought it was?
"Host, do you wish to activate your prize now or save it for later?"
Lin Fan paused for a second before saying, "Activate it now."
The moment he said this, there was a feeling like his brain was splitting apart and he immediately clutched it as he brought his head down.
At the same time, he also gave a loud grunt that attracted the attention of the people around him, but seeing that he was fine, most people ignored him. Rather even if he wasn't fine, they would have chosen to ignore him since the way he acted was quite strange and most people liked to avoid people like that.
When the splitting headache finally ended, Lin Fan slowly released his hands from his head and sat back up. But when he did, he also felt something wet on his lips.
Raising his hand to touch it, he found that it was blood.
Tracing it to the source, he found that it came from his nose.
Lin Fan went over to the bathroom and found that there was a giant nosebleed that came from his nose. It was just a good thing that he had held his head and brought it down, causing the blood to drip in another direction, otherwise it would have stained his shirt.
Of course, there were traces of blood on the table that shocked the waitress that walked by while Lin Fan had disappeared. She even brought her manager over after Lin Fan had left, but seeing that there was no blood at all, her manager chewed her out. However, that was a different story.
Lin Fan came back after cleaning up his face and he sat right back down to start testing his power.
This was a power that he had risked his life to get, so he would make the most out of it.
When he tried activating it, it was like there was another muscle that he could control with his brain, but it wasn't a muscle that was attached to his body. It was almost like an invisible hand that was made of pure energy.
Lin Fan controlled that hand until it came up to the cup that was placed in front of him and he had that hand lift up the cup. While Lin Fan couldn't see the hand, he could definitely see the cup that was floating in front of him.
It surprised him so much that he almost dropped it, but he quickly focused his mind to tighten his grip on the cup once again.
After making it stay in the air for a few seconds, Lin Fan slowly controlled that invisible hand to bring the cup back down onto the table.
Once the cup was put back down, Lin Fan began experimenting with the invisible energy.
He found that he didn't have to maintain the form of a hand, rather he could control the energy to take any form that he wanted. However, for things that were more complex, it required him to put more thought into it, which put a lot of strain on his brain. Once it went past a certain point, he wasn't able to shape it any further.
Lin Fan immediately recognized how useful this power would be, but before he finished training it, it definitely wouldn't be something that he could put to full use.
Still, it was better to have than not to have.
He opened up the interface and looked at the new skill that he had, finding something very interesting in the status screen. When he looked carefully at his new Telekinesis ability, there was a new window that popped up.
"Requires 100 intelligence to use."
This meant that if he hadn't increased his stats, he wouldn't even be able to use the skill that he had won.
This system really knew how to cheat him...
After cleaning up after himself, Lin Fan immediately left that cafe and headed to a gym.
He paid the fee for a single day's use and used all the facilities there to test the power of his new body. After looking online for references to his results, Lin Fan found that while he was just short of the times of the star athletes, he was still at the level of the lower tiered athletes.
Just by adding a few points, his body was now at the same level as those that had dedicated their lives to exercising and competing.
Even if the system was always betraying him, he had to admit that it was powerful.
Finally when the sun was close to setting, Lin Fan came back home.
Murong Yue had already prepared dinner and was waiting there with a nervous look on her face.
When Lin Fan came in and saw her, he immediately asked, "What's wrong?"
This was the special bond that the two of them had, it was easy to tell when something was wrong with the other person.
Though, she had been sitting there with a clear nervous look on her face which was a clear giveaway as well…
Murong Yue turned to Lin Fan and after a pause, she said, "The chief wants me to bring you in tomorrow because he wants to see you."
Lin Fan was surprised to hear this since he didn't have any contact with the chief other than those two short interactions. Why would the chief specially tell Murong Yue to call him in?
Could it be that he was being implicated because of the two gangs?
But no one knew that he had become the boss of those two gangs, since he hadn't even officially accepted the job yet.
Lin Fan knitted his brows as he asked, "Why does he want to see me?"
Murong Yue shook her head and said, "I don't know, he didn't tell me. He just asked me to bring you in tomorrow when I go to work…"
Lin Fan fell into thought for a bit. With the increase in intelligence, he was able to easily think through the various possibilities that this meeting could mean.
But in the end, he decided that there was nothing to lose from going to this meeting.
If they were going to arrest him, they would have done so already, so that wasn't the case.
Since it was just a meeting, it must mean that the chief had something to talk to him about.
Moreover, they were police, so they couldn't do anything drastic since keeping the peace was technically their job.
Of course, they could be corrupt cops which would be bad for Lin Fan, but the chances of that were so low that it was worth gambling on.
Finally, after going through all the various possibilities, Lin Fan said to Murong Yue, "Alright, I'll go meet your chief tomorrow."
Murong Yue still had a worried look on her face, but she also chose to accept this since the chief had done quite a bit for her, so she at least wanted to help him a bit.
Of course, if it involved Lin Fan getting hurt, she might not be this calm anymore...
