Chapter 21 - 21. Wrong Flight

Padmasari lay down on a chair that had been made like a bed. She tried to close her eyes and forget for a moment the bitter experience she had during her stay with Mr. Kusuma until her escape today. remembering all the actions she had taken, her chest rumbled. She felt that she was being bullied, increasingly pounding and uncomfortable.

"Don't think too much about things that don't matter at all, Padma. Enjoy this trip and we will live comfortably in Raja Ampat.'

"May your wish come true"

"what do you mean? You doubt my camouflage ability? I'm the mafia. Same with Mr. Kusuma, your husband. We share the same habit of intimidating each other and defending our principles. He often loses to me. My people often fight, and I always win battles. Not infrequently, some of our men have to die because of bullying by other gang members for revenge reasons or whatever."

"Show your abilities first, then I believe in your abilities, Maira. Several times I tried to run away but several times I failed." Maira sighed. She was really annoyed at Padmasari who didn't seem to believe her. She really wanted to contact her men and assure them that the trip they were about to take was very safe without any problems, but Maira refused to do so.

"If you are in torment, why don't you file for divorce from your husband at all? You can have a nice talk with him can't you? I'm sure if he's properly spoken to, he'll listen to your request." Maira listened to what Padmasari was complaining about at this time. She had no idea that Padmasari had applied for a divorce several times with her husband. So far as she knows, Padmasari lives a comfortable, safe and comfortable life without any burdens and without any problems. In reality, it's all just an illusion, a hallucination. While they were busy discussing marriage, a man across their seat looked at Padmasari. The man smiled then shook his head trying to remember the owner of the face that looked very familiar to him.

"Sorry, Miss. Is the sleeping woman named Padmasari?" Maira looked at the man who asked her and then looked at Padmasari who put her index finger to her lips. Maira shook her head.

"Do you know Padmasari? As far as I know she's the empress of a big boss in Jakarta."

"She's my sister. A few years ago she went missing, was kidnapped by someone and forced into marriage. She left her family unnoticed to this day."

" Which Padmasari do you mean? Do you know where she lives now? It's not possible if your sister lives in Jakarta but takes a plane from Yogyakarta, right?"

"It could be very possible, Miss. I know very well how rich people always spend money just for fun. I hope to meet Padmasari, my missing sister."

"I wish you luck, Sir. Oh yes, my sister is tired and she is sick. I can't say much because it will definitely disturb her."

"Okay."

Maira tried to move her body to cover Padma so that the man who always steals glances would not see to make sure that the woman lying next to Maira was her sister.

"I'm Adrian"

Adrian stretched out his hand, trying to shake Maira's hand. Maira looked at Adrian's hand for a moment then stretched out her hand for a handshake.

"Ira." "Ira? Ira who? I also have a friend who is my sister's best friend, her name is Maira. They are good friends and I followed in the footsteps of Padma and befriended Maira." Maira tried to look at Adrian, making sure that he really was the younger brother of her school friend.

"Are you from Kediri?"

"Right. Are you from Kediritoo?"

"I'm from Jakarta. Kediri is my grandmother's house. The person who took care of me while I was in school because my parents always went abroad on business trips."

"Could it be that you are Maira, my sister's best friend ?. Do you not recognize me at all?" Maira shook her head. She did feel that she had absolutely no memories with Adrian. Since the fifteen years she graduated from high school, many things have changed with her and also with her high school friends, so it's not at all surprising that they forgot about each other.

"I have too much to do and it's making me senile."

"Ha ha ha, nice to meet you, Ira. I will always hope that this is not our last meeting. There will be other meetings taking place." Maira nodded while occasionally stealing glances at Adrian. The man has grown into an attractive adult man. In her heart she admired Adrian's maturity, but she did not dare to reveal her identity and Padmasari's identity.

"Oh yes" Maira looked at Adrian who was now taking his wallet and holding out a business card to her. "If you are interested, you can contact me here. I work on that CV and have worked for five years."

"You work at CV Insan Cemerlang? Jakarta? Then why are you taking this plane if you want to go to Jakarta?"

Adrian frowned in confusion at Maira's question.

"What do you mean? Are you kidding me? This plane is indeed going to Jakarta, where are you really going?"

"Re-really? Am I on the wrong plane? If it's wrong, why doesn't anyone remind me? There was no boarding pass checking, right?" Maira opened her bag and took the boarding pass she kept there. She checked her boarding pass and read again the destination of her trip, Sorong."

"I did not misread at all, I will go to Sorong and transit in Makassar, why go to Jakarta? Oh my god."

Adrian smiled at Maira's stupidity, who now looked very panicked. She felt played by the situation and circumstances. She was too hasty or the airport staff misdirected her, I don't know.

"What happened earlier that you could have the wrong plane?"

"What did the airport staff do when they accepted me here? Are they careless or am I stupid?"

"That's enough. earlier you told your sister to be patient and enjoy the trip right? This must have had a lot of use. Maybe God is protecting you from an event you shouldn't be facing. Just be grateful that what will happen next is for the best."

Maira nodded. She tried to calm herself down and thought about what Adrian had said. when someone is wronged in a vehicle, maybe Allah is changing destiny.

She leaned her head back, closing her eyes.

"Dear ladies and gentlemen, soon we will land at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta. Local time is now 20 minutes past 20 in the morning. The time in Jakarta does not have a significant difference with the time in Yogyakarta. Please wear seat belts, straighten the back of the chair, fold and lock the table and keep the footrest and video screen in their original place. Make sure the window next to you stays open. We ask that laptops and other electronic devices be turned off now. We need to convey that anyone who carries and keeps any form of drugs or the like will be severely punished, and for those of you who find out, please report it to the authorities immediately, thank you."

Maira and Padmasari looked at each other hearing the announcement broadcast by the flight attendant.
