The pages became blank. The diary had come to an end, the same way the villagers lives came to an end. The sad reality of life!
" That means the one responsible for the deaths of the other villagers was Li Xiaomi. And the doctors died because of a curse. How did they get cursed in the first place?" Nalan asked the others.
Liena looked towards Nalan, and sighed, " The curse isn't that simple…Li Xiaomi had two twin siblings. " She looked towards the last tombstone, with the inscription Long Zhanye. " That person is their bosom friend."
" From my own point of view, there were only two doctors. The twin sister is an attack type awakened. That's how they were able to survive till that moment. But she was clearly outnumbered and overpowered. " She continued.
Nalan crossed her arms and looked at the two with a questioning gaze," Li Xiaomi…. Where is she ? She was the cause of their death, but she is nowhere to be seen. As far as the information we have, Li Xiaomi is weak. She can't survive in the dark zone."
" Yes. Something isn't right. Yunxi..?"
Liena turned towards Yunxi, who opened her mouth and replied. " She's in trouble. She was lied to. Her desperation clouded her sight."
" Then…we should try to find her or save her , right?" Nalan asked.
" It won't be that easy to find her. She is their most important pawn. She is either dead or…" Liena shaked her head in denial to Nalan's question.
Yunxi closed the diary and it dissapered before their eyes. " We should move now, before it's too late. "
Yunxi pulled out the Sun locket from her inventory and handed it over to Nalan."Here. This should help in dire times."
" Nalan, you are a support type awakened. They wouldn't expect you to attack, so use it to your advantage. But more importantly, show it when it's really dangerous, got it?" Yunxi warned with a stern tone.
" Yes. " They both chorused in reply.
Yunxi nodded and looked at Liena, asking, " Liena…is there anyway you can change our levels?"
" Why ? You said those things had been watching us ever since we appeared here, right?"
" Yes. But they don't know our true level and skills. They can only guess it by watching our fight. And we haven't shown our true skills."
Liena nodded and said with a smile, " I can. "
' Hmm…just as I thought. The system can't tamper with inherent skills. This is going to be hard. If our enemies too have this advantage, I am afraid….' Yunxi thought as she watched the change of Liena's eyes.
Earlier, when she had told Liena to disguise them as ghost, she had done it effortlessly. Meanwhile, the system never showed that skill in her Status. Yunxi had her suspicion, since she was skilled at cooking…( Ermm…Skilled at using knives), but the system didn't show it on her status. She decided to test it out on her others, which further strengthened her suspicion.
" All done. " Liena said, looking at her status.

Yunxi looked around and nodded, " Now, let's leave this place."
" How?" Nalan asked.
Liena smirked and proudly walked forward and stood in front of the graves. "Leave it to me."
Her eyes blazed pink, and the scene Infront of them shattered. Their sight was plunged into darkness. Their stomachs swirled, as they fell downwards.
Boom!
" Ugh!! Where is this place?" Nalan groaned out in pain , as she carefully stood up in the dark. While making sure she didn't touch what she wasn't supposed to.
" An underground temple in ruins…?" Yunxi asked, unsure.
" Yeah . It seems like it. I can sense dense demonic Mana. Be careful. " Liena said, affirming Yunxi's question.
She walked up to the two , and held their hands. " Follow me closely. "
They had just moved three steps, when Yunxi. " We need light." She said, stopping in her tracks.
Liena raised her brows at Yunxi's indifferent face. ( You just don't want me to touch you) " What do I get in return?"
" What do you want?"
" Know you."
" What?"
" I want to know you. "
Nalan sighed at her insistence. " Light it up."
Sounds of pebbles hitting the wall echoed, and the seemingly dark space became bright.
" Statues...?" Nalan murmured as she looked around a ruined temple. There were broken concrete pillars littered around. The front of the temple had visible cracks. It could break down any moment, but surprisingly, the large doors stood upright.
" This place is creepy. What's with all this dust?" Nalan complained as she dusted
" That's why we are underground. Do you expect it to be sand free?" Liena asked, sarcastically.
They both glared at each other, ready to make it physical. " Quit it. There is something ominous about this place. " Yunxi's cold voice evaporated the tension between them immediately.
" Can you sense what type of dark creatures there are?" She asked Liena.
Liena looked at the temple, with apt concentration. " A succubus. That's all I can sense. The others are quite…uncertain."
" A succubus? Then we should be ready for traps of illusions. " Yunxi also turned her head and looked at the temple.
Liena chuckled seeing Yunxi's expression. She knew how much Yunxi detested illusions. " Don't worry. This succubus is of ordinary blood. "
"Mummy…"
