Footsteps of a woman stepped on a vast forest meadow surrounded by colorful flowers neatly planted to form a rectangular patch of land.
Her clothes felt a bit heavy because the clothes she was currently wearing were the costumes of a knight with a sword. She still didn't realize that she had a black longsword automatically behind her back with a green dance tied to her chest to carry the scabbard.
She walked without knowing which direction was right for her, far ahead there was a beautiful natural landscape behind a house shaped like a hut, enough to make him fascinated and eager to capture the scene in one photo.
Unfortunately, she didn't have a device called a camera, so how was she going to capture such a mesmerizing sight?
She sighed tiredly as she walked quite a distance from where she originally arrived.
However, she did not find the bridge of the nose of someone or several people passing around her.
She wondered to herself, "Is this place uninhabited?" she felt strange, how could she possibly arrive in a restricted area? However, for her, the place he stepped on was very similar to a village in an RPG game.
'Where am I really?' Anko monologued, once she felt anxious because she didn't find anything while walking a long distance she finally ended her journey by resting her body somewhere like a late bench provided in the park.
"A silent~" she murmured, looking ahead a few tall buildings in the distance there.
Anko focused her gaze on the buildings.
'What kind of place is this?'
'What is a castle?'
'Or the city center?'
"...."
Anko decided to go that way...
Not long after, he met someone who was pulling a horse carriage, it seemed to be a merchant who was carrying his goods in the same direction.
Anko walked up to him and asked him a few things but, is the communication language the same?
"Excuse me, I want to ask you a few questions," the man in the carriage stopped at once.
"Yes please." He was a man in plain clothes, he didn't look very friendly but, Anko believed that this person who stopped and wanted to be asked something was a good person.
"Are you going there?" asked Anko while pointing the direction with her index finger.
"Yes," the man replied curtly with no expression at all.
"Then you brought some merchandise?" asked Anko to be sure.
"No, I'm on a long trip these days so I brought some makeshift stuff." It was clear the man meant it and was looking at Anko with a serious face a sign that he wasn't lying.
He then turned around asking, "You're a knight? Why are you here? Shouldn't you have returned to the palace?"
Inwardly Anko said, "I am a knight, am I?"
"Ah~ I just finished a mission. Just monitoring the area around here." Anko reasoned.
"Oh~ I see, yes." He responded to Anko's explanation with a doubtful face.
"What's the reason I sounded like a joke?" Anko started to think about how to come up with a logical reason.
"Oh, yes, I want you to give me a ride back there. Are you and I going the same way?" asked Anko to be sure.
"I can only enter the city center but, I can't enter the palace." When a carriage driver said that, Anko began to believe that the castle in question was the castle that appeared in the distance that she had seen earlier.
"Well, it's fine, as long as I can go home and meet my superior," Anko said reassuringly. Though she had just arrived in the world she did not know at once.
A chariot carrier finally gave Anko a ride. He invited this chivalrous girl to ride in his chariot. It's true, the items that this guy brought were not much it seemed he wasn't a merchant but someone who traveled in this world.
He didn't look friendly, like a hijacker but, he who helped Anko could certainly be called a good person.
The journey was quite far and they intended to rest in a place like a bar with an inn.
"How about we spend the night here first?" the person asked Anko with a reassuring expression.
"Okay," Anko answered without having to worry about it because she was just a hitchhiker, she felt free to be taken anywhere as long as she could return to where she was before.
'What kind of palace do you think is there?'
But, the name of the palace and the people who live in the palace must be rich people whose lives are luxurious and the place is magnificent.
Anko couldn't wait to see the place...
The bars and inns here are quite crowded, and this man only rents one room for 1 night.
Anko thought, "So are we going to spend the night here and I have to share a room with him?"
"...." At that thought, Anko's face turned red, and looked down in shame. She couldn't be in the same room with him because she was a girl.
The man didn't seem to care much for Anko. As soon as he received the key he immediately rushed to the room corresponding to the key number.
"What about me?" Anko asked to confirm it.
"You can spend the night with me here. You might be a little uncomfortable but, I don't have much money to rent another room." Showing the room number that was on the room key to Anko, "And I booked a room at a low price." The man answered honestly.
Anko couldn't help but accept this harsh reality.
They walked slowly down the hall and up the stairs, his room was in the backroom, the man immediately opened the door to his room with the key he had in his hand.
'CKLEK!!'
The door opened, "Come in!" asked the man with a face as level as a board, he seemed tired from the long journey.
Anko didn't move as she remained silent as she watched the man walk into the room. The man found it strange when this knight stood in front of the door with a worried face.
The man turned slightly with a surprised face, he slowly turned around and walked slowly towards Anko. He then asked to confirm the courage of this knight.
"Why don't you come in?" he asked politely.
"...." Anko was worried, she was afraid that her identity as a female knight would be exposed. Anko was still silent and just stared straight at the man in front of her.
Most of the people who visited this place were men.
Anko felt herself in this knight costume must have the impression of a man.
"...." Anko finally walked in, she felt like she had no other chance than this.
****
Was Anko will tell the truth to this man who was willing to give her a ride?
