Anthony's POV
Nora!" I said as she made to leave.
I looked at her, and saw she was dressed up. But her eyes were obviously stressed from her crying.
"Leave me alone murderer." She flared as she slapped me.
Did she just call me a murderer????😡😡😡.
I hoped I did not hear her clearly or maybe the slap was because of her mood. Nora is like that.
"You don't have to throw your anger at me Nora. This news is even painful for me. Williams and I had...." I was saying then she cut me. "Who the hell is williams?" She asked.
"The blackmailer." I answered.
"So he was right. You asked him to blackmail me firstly, then you tried to kill him with a gun, why then did you safe him?" She half yelled.
I was so mad about what she said, that I rose my hand up against her.
"Nora!!!" I shouted as I tried to hold my hand from breaking the promise I made to mom about never hitting a lady.
She looked scared, but not sorry.
"I shoulda known it's a waste of time giving you a little regard. You don't deserve it." I said as I made to leave.
"And one more thing, I'd never....go through much stress to either help you or bug you. I'd rather watch karma work it's magic on you bitch." I added as I continued to move.
I can't believe I was beginning to fall back for such a girl like her. Thank goodness Dan's wedding is in less than 4 days. I'd go see Williams wife and his son charles right after I visit the police on my own.
"Tony!" Nora called, I stopped to hear what she was going to say.
"I'm sorry." She said softly, a little smile formed on my face, but I had to hold it🙈🙈.
Nora's POV
It seems I was wrong about my accusations. Tony would never raise his hand up against a woman. That's one thing I respect him for, no matter how annoying she can be. Which means accusing him woulda really annoyed him?
I made a mistake, I had to apologize.
"For?" He asked as he turned around with a straight face.
"For accusing you wrongly." I said and he gave a "is that all for real" face.
"Repeatedly, for accusing you wrongly repeated." I said and he smiled and walked closer to me, the he dragged me closer to him with my waist.
Does Tony like me?
I said nothing and just looked straight into his eyes, likewise him.
What the hell am I doing?
And then he said "you....look..." Oh moi God, he gon say I look beautiful. Not like I like him or something I'm just like this🙈😊 (she lyin 🙄👌)
"Stupid!" 😡😡😡😡.
Did he just call me stupid? I shoulda known that player has no fuckin feelings for me. How could I fall for something so cheap? 😡😡😡😡.
I opened my mouth in surprise.
Anthony's POV
"You said?" She asked, I think she did not expect it😂😂.
I wish I had someone holding up a camera to take this moment. She looked damn surprised.
"You look stupid, we going to console a family who just lost their breadwinner and you're dressed like you're going to lure a man." I said.
I was going to kiss her, but it would only make her believe I'm as useless as she is.
"Uhn?" She said looking so surprised, like she had no idea of what I was saying.
"We?" She asked
"I meant.." she said with a tone describing she already understood what I meant
"You bitch..... I was heading to the police before, not to them. You had no idea of where I was heading and you called me stupid." She half yelled.
"You called me a murderer, which is worse?" I said back.
"I said sorry, what's the deal?" She answered.
"The deal? What's the deal? You accused me of killing and you ask what the deal is?" And that's why you should never make a joke with Nora😑.
In th office
Dan's POV
I could not stop thinking about what aunt told me this morning. I'm becoming someone's husband slowly, never thought this day would come.
##Early this morning##
It was early this morning around 5 am. When I heard a knock on my door, I thought it was my stupid future wife, but it turned our to be my dear aunt.
"Good morning." I said to her as I was nutting my tie.
"Very soon your wife would do this for you." She said to me as she collected it from me and helped me.
Wife my foot😒😒. She really thinks Azura is a good woman, dah bitch only showing her real character to me. Everyone thinks she is a heroine, but they have no idea that she's a real villian😡😡😡. I'm the only one worthy of being called a hero 😌
"Remember when you were six years old, preparing for your first play." She started.
Where's she heading? If she's planning to make me emotional she lying 😢, it ain't gonna work 😭😭.
"Amanda was so glad that her son was growing." She added as tear slowly dropped her eyes.
My mother Amanda Johnson was everything to me, but I lost her and my father when I was 13 years of age. Ever since then I had fear of living alone, even if I'd gotten over it aunt and Nora had gotten so uses to living with me.
"May her soul rest in peace." Aunt said as she bursted into tears. I had to hold mine, I'm a man😭😢😭😭😭.
"Amen aunt." I said to her as I hugged her.
"Amanda had always waited for the day you would get married. She kept a necklace for her daughter in law, I'd be the one to hand it over, I wish she could be the one too. She worked real hard to just..." She added.
Where the hell is this woman heading to?
How would I focus in work with this in my mind?
"Do you love your late mom?" She pulled out of the hug.
"Yes aunt." I answered and I already had an idea of where she was going.
"Then promise to never make Azura cry one single day." She said.
"Amanda went through alot in her marriage with my brother Victor." She said as she headed to sit on my bed and I walked to her side and sat beside her.
"I don't want Azura to face the same. I know that's the reason you've been avoiding the topic of marriage. But it's compulsory for humans to." She continued.
"You'd be living alone together. Which means only God and the two of you would know what's happening between the two of you. Since most of your buildings are well sound proof, your neighbors won't know what's happening between the two of you, through your sound.
" Please, promise Dan that you'd make Azura happy." She added, and all I could do was to smile and nod positively.
###Right now###
Just while I was thinking about this Jena got in.
"Sir." She said bowing her head down as usual.
"What do you want?" I asked her with my usual straight face.
"A client, a new client said he wants to meet you." She answered.
Why the hell? I'm not in a great mood for this new client.
"I'm busy." I answered.
"Sir, he seems to worth a lot. Even more than mr charles. " She said, is she planning to anger me or what?
"Are you deaf or something? I said I'm busy." I shouted at her and she seemed to tremble.
But I don't care! That's what she gets for being disobedient. What does she think she is to me? My mother????? Or aunt???
"Okay sir." She said with obvious tremble in her voice.
Jena's POV
I just gave him an advice and he shouted at me. What was he thinking about? Maybe that his useless fiance been giving him hard time. I'm pretty sure his aunt forced him to marry her😒.
But I'd be the good wife and keep this great opportunity for him.
"I'm so sorry sir." I said as I got downstairs.
"You are?" The man asked.
I don't know if it's just me, but the man was sooo handsome, and he seemed to have a resemblance with Azura.
"I'm his personal assistant." I said
"Calling it by its full meaning won't make either it or you sound more official." He said.
He's cute and has Dan's attitude 😡😡. It's cute on my Dan but not on him😒😒.
"I'd like to talk to the general manager of this place." He said.
"Really?" I said as my smile turned to huge frown.
And the stupid secretary Lana was laughing 😡😡.
What's funny?
"Lana, call Jasper." I ordered her.
As she called him with the landline.
"Your attention is needed." I heard her say as I looked at the stupid client and he seemed to have noticed me.
"Your eyes are not harmful just ugly." He said as I hit my left foot hard on the floor and my stupid heel broke.
He did not laugh but that stupid Lana was laughing.
Arrrgggh!!!
Anthony's POV
We were already on our way to Williams apartment.
###Flash back##
"Agree or not." He said as Nora and I looked at each other and immediately got our eyes off.
"Yeah. Imma transfer it to your account right away." I said to him.
"I'll transfer mine too." Nora added.
"Here's my card, my information been here. I must receive the alert before six in evening." He answered as he stood up and left.
###Right now##
"What's wrong?" I asked Nora who was looking sad.
"Im scared." She answered.
Writer's POV
