Chapter eight
As we head to the shamba that is on the way to Mzee Meza's house, I cannot help but think about the warning was given by grandma's spirit. She is being so concerned about me. What does she know that I need to know? Is there something that she is trying to tell me? What message is she passing around? I liked my grandma so much and all I need is for her soul to rest in eternity. But then again, was mum her only child? Did she have other children? Are they alive? Why haven't I met them? Those and many more questions are lingering in my head and I need a response.
I doubt if that's the case when she is always roaming around to protect me. What exactly is this thing that I cannot plumb? I look up at the sky. Then I secretly shout, may the gods of our land lead me through all the way, together with my friends.
