Chapter Ten
Minutes later,
We are still walking towards home when something strange happens. I feel a force pushing me to walk back to the river.
There is a voice calling my name from a distance and I know what is happening isn't normal.
I feel like I didn't really accomplish what I wanted to. I know I met this guy, but hey, I also wanted to find out what the baby is all about. I am feeling half completed.
''The baby!'' I say urgently.
''What baby?'' he asks surprised.
I don't respond to him, I put my left hand around his stomach, and push him away without working any harder for it. He falls thunderously on his butt and I inwardly smile as I put across a serious face.
I am on my heels as soon as that happens, and I am running helter-skelter towards the river. The voice that was calling me and the force that was pushing me have disappeared.
