Night washed over the region, plunging everything to complete darkness. Fires continued to ravage ruined buildings and homes, survivors wept and pleaded to know what happened to their relatives as they watched Hymo stand in silence.
Thunder rumbled in the cloudy sky, setting the mood for what kind of night this was. Lightning lit up the skies, casting the shadows of each blood monolith onto corpses and leveled terrain.
Volatile and Infinus slowed down their pace, letting Ferals take it from there. There were no shelters for them, only rough shoulders and steel plates of armor to rest their heads against.
A rainstorm struck the mountain, making it difficult for all parties involved. Now with their hearing being heavily muffled, Volatile and Infinus warriors separated themselves from each other.
By now, news of what happened between Danitour and Ether spread like wildfire. Reaching Valiant and Yazzo, while lapping back around to reach Ether's ears in the form of a mumble.
However, while they focused on recovery and enduring the night; Conqueror began taking strives to reclaim territory and establish footholds across Hymo.
Just like Hitirus trained, every single warrior refused to sleep. They were too focused to feel weary as they silently made their way through homes.
A small band of seven warriors, all sisters, arrived at their birthplace. Together, they took strategic positions and got to work dismantling enemies.
The first sister, one named Oakala, dashed through the darkness. Her feet were light and quick, a feat mirrored by one of her oldest sisters as she ran along rooftops.
Four Infinus warriors held out their helmets, washing them thoroughly before reusing them as canteens to get their fill of water. Oakala waited for lightning to strike, then she ran right past them.
"Huh..? I think there's Ferals around. I heard something run right past me," one warrior whispered to the others.
On the next lightning strike, Oshishiro, one of Oakala's oldest sisters, studied the situation. She glanced to her right, noticing the oldest sister was lurking nearby.
Oshishiro trusted the eldest, called Ocruzza, and Oakala to all be on the same page as they struck. Allowing them to attack in unison.
The same warrior who heard Oakala continued to listen intently, slowly edging away from the group to get a better grip of the area. Only to feel a dagger resting in his throat, Oakala killed.
Before the warrior even felt the deadly jolt, Oshishiro had landed on two others. She drove her own dagger straight through the first's crown, then shattered the second's jaw with a heart-stopping punch.
Ocruzza rammed her dagger through the last warrior's heart, killing them almost-instantly. All four corpses dropped to the ground, and no one noticed them missing.
Not too far from them, their other sisters laid waste to seven Thawed and four Zegi. However, they made the mistake of attacking a Volatile elite's men.
They listened closely, focusing their breathing and mind to ignore all the ambient noise. Heavy, wet footsteps approached them. An obvious sign of an elite coming closer.
Like machines, the four sisters took positions to take down the leader. One of them held their dagger in a stabbing position, the other in a striking pose, and the last two held theirs in a dismantlement angle.
When the elite paused, waiting to hear their men, a lightning strike lit up the skies. Leading them to notice the absence of their numbers. Instinctively, they took out their short-sword and prepared for the worst.
Instantly, after stepping foot into their trap, all four of them collapsed on the fighter. Driving daggers into their armor and dismantling portions of their armor.
In response, the elite grabbed the nearest sister and threw them to the ground. Making a wet thud as she felt gravity crush her. She struggled off her feet as the elite spun around and blindly swiped.
Unknowingly scraping the side of a sister's shoulder. She pounced on the Zegus' back, pulling her upper body up to throw them both onto the ground.
When that didn't work, she quickly shifted to the front and hugged their helmet tightly. Using her breasts and upper stomach to blind the elite while using her full weight to send the elite down.
She held them in that position until her sisters arrived to seek a lethal blow. When one began to break the locks on the helmet, the elite let out a warning scream.
Hoping to let everyone know of a threat, only to go nowhere as thunder rumbled in the distance. The elite felt them bust open their helmet, then bring down a heavy dagger straight to their throat.
All four sisters stood triumphantly together, patiently waiting for their three sisters to arrive. Beneath their expressionless helmets and trademark Conqueror paint, they were the least threatening thing active.
Ferals roamed around, gaining intel and challenging who they could. But they couldn't challenge the entire Conqueror Legion alone.
Their numbers descended from above, quickly swallowing the front lines and butchering everybody in their way. Unlike the sisters, these attacks were loud.
Which lured Distorted to the area, something Demon and the Servant were eagerly waiting to find. As the presence grew in strength, the Servant pointed out how this storm wasn't normal.
A goliath birthed it to mark its awakening. The beast was somewhere on the other side of Centinents, ripping apart reality hoping to flood this one.
Demon turned to the Servant, careless of the lives being taken as they spoke. "Which goliath appeared doesn't matter. It is interesting to see such an event unfold before us... while our experiments die."
The Servant nodded, eyes slightly glittering. "Let's hope tonight will be enough to bring Yulfinmier out of hiding."
Lightning and thunder continued to beat the skies into a dark gray color, fitting the slaughter beneath. Elites and warriors alike lost their lives to the countless hordes of Conqueror forces.
Just like Hitirus instructed an hour before sundown. When morning came, the Legion would switch positions. Those that attacked during the night retreated while those that did not pushed forward.
