Shadowy angels fell from their heaven. All four of their wings folded up. There were no halos over their heads, only pure storming hatred in their eyes.
Those outside at the time screamed. Alerting the entire city something was awfully wrong. Their cries echoed through homes, bouncing off walls into ears of those capable of defending.
In minutes, elites rushed outside to see what was happening. Buildings turned to ashes. Hell found itself spreading its eternal anger across Krugi.
Light Legion warriors leapt into action. Striking down anyone they could as a method of striking fear. Every single grown Variant fought back.
Workers clashed with warriors over the life of their city. Personal hatred pumped each defending worker full of adrenaline. Enough to keep the warriors busy.
"Jakery, hey! What's going on..." Ether paused.
He stopped right beside his brother. Together, they watched in awe as their city was being laid to ruin. In order to survive, they had to act without a second wasted.
Chaotic storms brewed in Jakery's frame, overcharging him full of energy. Ether blinked, then Jakery was gone. Up in the skies, he rained down thunder.
Each lighting strike represented the days he had spent isolated. Longing for the day his older brother would return to him as the Zesher he knew, and when Ether shared his motherly love with him once again.
Both things the Light Legion took from him. Seething anger turned every strike more intense and corrupt than the previous. Warriors dropped dead in bunches. Before being replaced by dozens more.
Pearl tossed Tellendor at Ether. The weapon clanked as his hands closed on its sheathe. He recognized something. It was his weapon speaking. A blue mist gently flew out the blade.
"Keep Orako safe. I am going to handle this," Ether ordered.
"No, we are. This isn't like normal battles - this one is right here. You and I must fight together," Pearl insisted.
Understanding this was not a time to argue, Ether cave him. "Fine. Keep a close eye on him."

Valentine unleashed clouds baring his crimson signature. Which caused foes to erupt into gore. A lovely morning turned into insanity, he thought. Each attack was destined to slaughter.
Suth drove her axe into the torso of an incoming attacker, before spinning around and decapitating another's head off their bottom jaw. They fell back, blood pouring out of their open wounds.
As one, the Oracles assisted. Together, they whispered prophecies to each other. Little hums designed for their survival. Granting every Thawed the strength to continue driving forward.
Off in the distance, but in the same area, Hizentre dropped his flail. The reinforced head thumped against the ground. With the pride of a father, he cried an earth-shattering battle cry.
Paused motions resumed their course. Turning armored attackers into mangled corpses. His fury was unmatched and uncaged.
Hizentre flicked his handle towards the sky, before tugging it back down to him. The chains slammed down on busy warriors as the head of his flail crushed bones.
By now, hundreds of Thawed were out fighting back. The Oracle's hums were paying off. They continued bringing down warriors with ease. But to no use, because more would replace them.
While Infinus had power, Light had that and numbers. As represented by Trijunn. He smiled a devilish grin, showing his every tooth. Murder reflected in his eyes.
"Dad?!?" Hazen called out.
Catching Trijunn's attention. He cackled with glee while slowly approaching Hizentre and his forces. Echoes of Dire lingered in him. With every action, he wanted to be the worthy replacement.
Hizentre slammed down his flail. "Hazen, stay inside! We'll hold them back."
Ferals belonging to Trijunn pounced on Thawed. Using cooperation, they effortlessly took down defender after defender.
But this wasn't the end. Not by a long shot. Hizentre flicked his flail into the advancing forces. Taking out dozens with one single, motivated blow.
"You look important," Trijunn carelessly stepped forward. "Got a daughter, hmm? How old?"
"Keep your gaping maw shut, creature!" Hizentre barked back.
Trijunn growled. "By my standards, she seems right for the killing. No need for me to nurture her."
Rage filled up Hizentre's mind, causing him to go forward with a devastating attack. Except Trijunn effortlessly dodged it. He continued walking towards him, careless of what Hizentre had in store.
"Hmph. Die, you dirty Feral scum," Hizentre insulted.
To this, Trijunn simple laughed. In an instant, he closed the distance with a disheartening punch to the gut. Instincts drove Hizentre into unleashing a paused attack.
An invisible flail swept through the attacking Feral. Supposedly breaking bones and badly injuring his body. Except, Trijunn remained the same.
He chuckled. "You don't get it, hmm? I. Am. Paranormal."
Trijunn kicked Hizentre's chin, forcing the Thawed on his back. As a follow up, he brought down his knee on where his head would have been. In the last second, Hizentre rolled away from the attack.
Now on his knees, he flicked his handle up. Catching Trijunn in its path. The Feral stumbled back, dazed as to what just happened. Which encouraged him.
Hizentre swept through the field in front of him with another attack. Tossing the recovering Feral against a home.
Stone crumbled as he crashed into the wall. To pair with his second attack, Hizentre quickly closed the distance and delivered a powerful blow to the side of Trijunn's head.
Being naturally fast, Trijunn ducked. Causing Hizentre to strike the wall instead of him. Now in a favorable position, he tackled Hizentre down.
The Thawed effortlessly fell. As he did, Trijunn made sure to keep a tight grip on his legs. Once Hizentre was defenseless, Trijunn's killer instincts took over.
"This is where your journey ends, frosty fuck," Trijunn spat.
He began spinning in place. Picking up speed the more he went. Until it was to the point where both Variants were getting light-headed. Exactly what the opposing Feral wanted.
Trijunn tilted his body closer to the home. Causing Hizentre to spin into it, head first. Knocking the Thawed out cold. He continued, this time motivated to go faster.
Somehow, he did. After another pair of spins, Trijunn heard a crack. More spins later, he heard a nasty breaking sound. Even more spins later, he noticed the world around him was red.
Relief washed over Trijunn as he slowed down. Hizentre's head became nothing more than a far cry of what it used to be. It was battered. Flesh was barely noticeable.
One could see shards of his skull and somewhere near the duo, his brain rested on the ground. Trijunn was satisfied with himself.
Victorious, he roared. Jaws parted and eyes closed, his permanent smile got even wider. This was it. The legacy of the one responsible for many of the Infinus Legion's advancements was now gone.
But his daughter's legacy was just beginning. Tears swelled in her eyes, of both anger and sadness. Hazen became nothing more than a weeping husk of herself.
Mental stress and trauma began to haunt her. She was ready for her end. When Trijunn walked inside her home, she was ready to die. Except he didn't.
Trijunn's attention went somewhere else. A fiery beast swallowed his fellow warriors up by the dozens. From back here, Trijunn could smell the burning flesh.
It was exactly what he was searching for in this conflict; a hunt. And he found exactly what to hunt: the source of these creatures.
He, along with many Ferals leapt into action. They dashed through crowds, trying to get to this unknown beast before someone else did.
Leaving Hazen alone in her home, or at least what used to be. Everything felt fake now. She was so far away from her mother, Digon and Yarno divided her from Metrivious.
"W - why..? W - what has... m - my dad ever d..." she swallowed the lump in her throat. "I - I don't understand..."
Outside, Valentine collected every ounce of blood and used it as fuel to continue his rampage. Warriors dropped dead like flies. Those who somehow survived were crushed by incoming Thawed.
They were relentless. The shining red crimson mask reflected his pumping heart, working overtime to sustain his blood usage.
Hazen looked outside to notice the incoming friendly faces. She feebly tries to walk outside, only to fall repeatedly as she struggled to move.
"YOU ARE ALL DEAD!" Valentine promised. "NO MERCY WILL BE GIVEN TO WORTHLESS FILTH!"
Millions of microscopic shards of blood rained down upon the attacking forces. They struggled to escape his wrath. Billions of small cuts turned armor plates into blood buckets.
"Please, help me," Hazen thought.
Valentine broke out of his rage, staring at the empty world around him.
"I'm inside this home. Follow where your mind takes you. Please, I am in dire need of your help."
Out of good heart, Valentine obeyed. He opened the door of a nearby home. Upon entering, he noticed the defeated Hazen on the floor.
His eyes widened out of shock. "Poor thing. Come on, let's get you to a safe zone."
Before Hazen accepted, she weakly looked up to him. "W - when... when will I get revenge..?"
