-From the perspective of an unknown elite-
Alright, random Legion is attacking this city now. Cemtras, Yinmars, and Weavers ready for combat. Weapons sharpened and armor reinforced.
No one will take over this city as long as I'm here. But there's one Prime who could.
Adrenaline pumping, sweat is flowing, and anger is growing. All signs pointing at their willingness to fight. Guess Kas wasn't lying about his 'faceless warriors.'
I prepare myself for the fighting I'm about to witness. Okay, ready. I calmly walk across the wooden ceiling that helped my archers shoot over the wall.
My eyes scanned the posture, arrows, bows, and looks of each archer. I made sure everyone there was capable of properly hitting their target.
"Hey, aim higher. Those won't hit anything," I corrected my archers.
Each one aimed higher, as I instructed them to. Then continued to unleash a ruthless volley of flame-tip arrows. I smiled, pleased with their adaptability. Each arrow fired is a second closer to my target.
I noticed the bowstrings were bending the bows too much. "Hey, soften up the pull on those. You don't want to break a perfectly good weapon, do you?"
My archers agreed and corrected their mistake. Despite the arrows not reaching as high, they still helped pull me towards my target.
Now with my ranged defenses corrected, I dropped down to examine my defenders on foot. Each one had hardened armor with weapons that yearned for combat, while their wielders quivered with fear.
My eyes caught a flaw within the armors of my warriors. "Hey! Loosen up those plates, you'll become a stiff and easy target if you keep them that way. Agility is an important factor for fights!"
They were all hesitating at first, some even refused to listen to my instructions. So I reached down to a steel whip that was curled up and hung against my hip.
"Kas sent me out here to keep an eye out for flaws. And that's what I'm going to do. Now listen to my instructions, you brainless worms," I demanded.
One by one, the warriors sighed and loosened up their plates to perfectly match my request. Which made me happy again, they were finally trusting me.
Pleased, I walked away from the first group of warriors. Then instructed the rest to do the same. Rows upon rows of Light Legion warriors stood before me, plates loose.
Now my attention shifted to the beasts and their beast masters. When I walked between the dormant Cemtras, I noticed something odd: there were no riders.
My blood began to boil and my heart began beating faster. I was furious with my warrior's decisions. How could they be so dense?
"Oh, my fucking Rules. Do you idiots seriously believe Cemtras are rational enough to fight without a rider? Two idiots per Cemtras, please!" I yelled at them.
The beast masters gave me a bewildered facial expression as a response. But it was expected, they weren't any wiser. I've seen it all. Have seen how ruthless these Cemtras can be if they are left without a rider.
But thankfully, they had enough brain power to heed my instructions. Teams of two beast masters climbed on the back of each Cemtras, fulfilling my desire.
"Sir, what about the Yinmars? They need us more than the Cemtras. If we leave them without any they can -"
"Control them from atop your Cemtras. It isn't that difficult to use a little fraction of your brain, is it?" the words tasted bitter as they escaped my mouth.
I hated answering stupid questions, especially when the one asking claims to be an expert in their own topic. But alas, I'm one of the few rare Primes who uses their brain properly.
These foolish combatants need me if they were to stand a chance against the incoming attackers.
He gave me a look of disgust in return. But once again, it's expected to look at someone else as foolish while they are twice as smart as you. Arrogance has its flaws, and I'm here to fix them.
I ignored the disrespectful gaze of my beast master and continued to inspect the ones around them for any flaws. My incredible ability to detect stupidity rang once again after I saw the Stram being prepared.
"Hey, hey! You're all here to ride these Cemtras into battle, no?" I asked.
One of the riders turned to look at me. "Yes sir, are we doing something wrong?"
"Yes, you fucking are! Those taps along the edges of the saddle need to be pointing at the exoskeleton!" I yelled at them.
She quickly understood and helped the others fix their mistakes. Once again, I was pleased. They were listening to my orders as I gave them.
I heard the gates swing open and the footsteps of my warriors running outside to face the invaders. My gaze slowly shifted to them, I wanted to see my work paying off.
The invaders effortlessly ripped apart my warriors. Female Ferals tore the armor off my warriors, while Thawed enraged my Cemtras thus causing them to turn on their masters.
Yinmars attempted to attack, but they too were ineffective. They killed my own warriors out of confusion and even one another out of panic.
The whole ordeal was a devastating defeat for my warriors. Invaders stopped the slaughter, and captured my men and beasts alike.
A fellow elite nonchalantly walked through the gates. Her fiery smile notified me who it was: Quinn has betrayed the Light Legion.
"Wow, what kind of failure of a group do you lead? Look at them! They are all defeated!" she laughed.
I kept quiet. My throat felt off, as if something was stuck inside. But I kept my position, hoping to see more of the invaders walk inside.
Two Thawed followed her. One had long silver hair, meanwhile the other seemed to have lost a lot of armor. Both of them approached me with a look of malice in their eyes.
"Wait, wait, wait!" I urgently asked. "Quinn, tell them who I am!"
"Oh yeah, my apologies, buddy!" she said. "Anyway... that's Hedix Yolorn, best trickster and actor I know. That guy is the reason why we took over this city so quickly!"
She remembered my original plan to give out wrong orders on purpose to sabotage my warriors.
This proved no one could take this city, other than one Prime. And that one Prime being me.
