-First day of the attack, late morning-
Six Pyroatic Weavers took off, their bodies spun as they ascended high into the morning sky. Clouds loomed overhead, just as Jakery expected. A perfect start for the attack.
Several Sky Beasts took off alongside these Siege Weavers, they ascended faster and slowly circled around the Siege Weavers, making sure the Weavers were safe.
Kellenas, Quill, and Hizentre took their groups and prepared to form the barrier. Ferals and Thawed stood beside each other, their distant backgrounds showed as they comforted one another before the imminent attack.
While Quill and Hizentre looked collected and confident, Kellenas was afraid. Not because of the Light Legion they were going to hold back, but because he knew he might lose some pack members.
He was well aware each Feral came because they wanted to, but he also was afraid they won't make it back to their loved ones alive.
Nonetheless, he still patiently waited for the attack.
After reaching a certain altitude, Hazen controlled the Siege Weavers to stop gaining height. She waited for them to across over the first town.
"That's good enough, start it!" Jakery ordered Hazen.
Hazen controlled the Siege Weavers to descend at high speeds over the large town. Everyone below noticed the descending beasts of magma, they watched in horror as they approached.
Two elites divided their power. One led the defenseless away from the town, the other prepared their defenses against the incoming barrage of Infinus artillery.
The second the first Pyroatic Weaver collided with the town, everyone in Imbushko heard the devastation it left behind. The Infinus and Light Legion silently watched as the region became a war zone.
Homes and shops became dust and rubble. Armored warriors became armored memories. Everything else was scorched.
Realizing they won't be able to make a full counter, the Light Legion warriors broke up into teams. Some got on the back of Sky Beasts while others helped the defenseless get away.
The Weavers reappeared outside the town, leaving a pool of lava behind. They ascended back up to the sky, but this time with Sky Beasts following them.
Arrows from all sorts of materials flew towards the Weavers, hoping to strike them down before they could cause anymore destruction. But Infinus' Sky Beasts came down to greet them.
Talons, beaks, pikes, and arrows waved around in the sky. It was a show everyone else watched, their interest growing by the second.
"Valentine, do you think you can help?" Jakery curiously asked.
"If you want me to make a blood cloud, I could," Valentine answered.
Below the pure white clouds, a more vicious red cloud formed. Infinus riders knew it was best to avoid it the best they could, but also lure in the best they could.
Some Light Legion riders flew inside the cloud, unaware of what it meant. While some were too focused on a target to move away from the cloud, others didn't know what it was.
After letting some beasts and riders breath in the murderous red cloud, Valentine finally broke the masquerade by causing the clouds to turn to blood. Then he forced the blood to erupt in different directions.
Fireworks of blood and gore decorated the survivors. All Infinus Beasts remained, with some captured Light Beasts.
Three teams of two brought the captured warriors back to Jakery, then returned.
"Has your Legion been treating you well?" Jakery smiled.
"They at least have a moral code, unlike whatever you all are! Those warriors had fucking families!" one furiously replied.
Jakery took off his helmet and looked up at the one who yelled. "If they had a moral code, why would they attempt to wipe out three brothers who did nothing wrong?"
He waved the captured warriors away.
Back in the skies, the Weavers and Beasts continued their journey across the shore. Their goal wasn't to completely wipe out towns and cities, their goal was to beat them into submission.
Those who remained inside to defend were at the mercy of the incoming horde of Infinus warriors. Where they would be captured and asked one important question.
Hazen connected her mind to the mind of a Sky Beast's rider, she asked for him to look at the place ahead of them. He obeyed and kept his eyes on a nearby city.
"Hey Valentine, how does your 'blood-power-causes-huge-explosions-or-something' Third Rule work?" she asked.
"I'm able to trigger my Third Rule whenever something is in my line of sight, why?" Valentine answered.
"N - nothing..." Hazen giggled.
Valentine found his mind connected to the rider's, he even was capable of seeing through his eyes while also seeing through his own. It felt unnerving and made him feel sick, but he understood what Hazen wanted.
"Alright, I want a small group here protecting Hazen and Valentine. The rest, follow me. We are going to claim this town for ourselves!" Jakery called out to his army.
In unison, the warriors marched forward with Jakery in the front. Kellenas, Hizentre, and Quill all took their groups and began creating the barrier.
Ferals were faster than the Thawed, which meant they would have to find positions for them to hold while the Thawed caught up.
The town's defenders watched the incoming storm of Infinus warriors, they understood their invaders weren't there to reason with them.
When they reached the town, the elite watched as they marched through the grass field. Weapons heavy in their hands and eyes set directly at them.
"We are definitely outnumbered here, what do we do?" a defender asked the elite.
"Mercy or death," the elite grunted.
One by one, the Light Legion warriors lowered their weapons and dropped to one knee. They were telling Infinus they surrendered.
Jakery stopped his Legion from advancing. "Bowing so quickly... why?"
"Because we simply wish to live," the elite responded.
"Okay. Here's a question for you. Will you sit or lie?"
The elite noticed Jakery's twin daggers, who weren't alive at the moment. He understood if he made the wrong choice, it would spring to life.
"Take us to our seats," the elite calmy answered.
Jakery put one dagger away, then walked up to the elite. His eyes scanned the white and gold plates on the elite's body.
"My name is Jakery Coros, one of the 'traitors.' But once you know our story, you probably will think otherwise," he introduced himself.
The elite reached up to shake Jakery's hand. "My name is Vulnor Ison. It will be dangerous serving under your command, but me and my men are yours to control."
Demon materialized in the middle of the two groups, he was using his Distorted body to hide himself.
"Be quick, this next location is a city and they are applying immense pressure. I nearly had my fourth death today, if I experience my fifth I'll make both sides pay," Demon's voice echoed between the groups.
Jakery nodded. "Take these guys back to Volknair, Pearl knows what to do next," he ordered a small group.
He set his eyes beyond the town, and in the distance. He could see red explosions, raining magma, and Sky Beasts.
