The next day, a strange Sky Beast hovered over Krugi. Whoever was on it didn't bother trying to land. They knew stepping into another Legion's territory without their permission was a fatal mistake.
Jakery brought Ether outside to see what was happening. When the two stumbled out, they saw the Ferals and Zegi alike staring up at the beast.
"Kellenas, what is happening?" Ether quickly asked Kellenas.
He looked down at Ether. "I wish I knew, my pack let out several loud howls to indicate a threat. Now we're here."
From the corner of his eye, Ether noticed a second Sky Beast was making it's way up to the first one. But this other Sky Beast was a Storm Chaser Sky Beast, that was Gloria.
Gloria got closer to the first Sky Beast until they were right next to each other. Then they descended from the skies.
When they landed, the first Sky Beast's rider stood up to face Ether. "Suth summons the Infinus Legion to fulfill their oath."
"Wait... does that mean..?" Jakery frantically wondered.
"THE LIGHT LEGION IS ATTACKING OUR ALLY! GO GET YOUR WEAPONS AND ARMOR, WE ARE FIGHTING ALONGSIDE THEM!" Valentine indirectly answered Jakery's question.
Valentine knew this was going to happen soon, so he asked the Armory to prepare as many armor sets they could a few days prior. But there wasn't enough Eteni wool or time, causing many to go back to Digon without modified armor.
-Two hours later-
Infinus beasts went along the side Terron used to be in. They tried to avoid the main path since that's where the Light Legion most likely would attack from.
When the beasts touched down inside Frosticus' walls, Quill was there to greet them.
"The mighty Infinus Legion here to save the day. Are these all your men?" Quill asked.
Quill wore matching armor with his sister. The armor had an expressionless silver helmet. With white robes to covering the chest down to the knees.
The gauntlets and arms were a classic metal color all around.
Ether hopped off his Sky Beast. "This is everyone fighting. I hope you have war mounts here, we couldn't get any in time..."
Quill chuckled then pointed upwards. Siege Weavers flew overhead. Electric and fire trailed behind them as they flew in circles, waiting for their masters to command them.
"Wait, those are fire... wait there are more versions of Siege Weavers?" Ether statically said.
"That, my dear boy, is a Pyroatic Weaver."
"Huh, well, we're ready. Are you all?" Ether brought the conversation to the bigger topic.
Quill took off his helmet and allowed the wind to move his hair. "Sadly, we're still doing last-minute preparations. I sent out a few scouts a while back. They told us where the Light Legion was at."
"Where?" Ether asked.
"At the foot of the main path, they'll be there to give us hell if we tried to do anything about it. Best we can do here is wait for them to come to us and let Digon do the rest," Quill explained.
Quill walked away, leaving Ether alone with his Legion behind him. They watched Ether in silence, waiting for the next instruction.
"Alright. Whenever the siege begins I want you all to obey your closest high ranking Prime. Got it?" Ether ordered his Legion.
Everyone silently nodded, then looked around for who that high ranking Prime was.
Ether left the group, he wanted to see what was happening at the foot of Digon. He climbed up a set of stairs that led to the top of the walls, where archers were waiting for the Light Legion.
"How are you feeling about today's siege?" Ether tried to make conversation with an archer.
"A bit nervous," wind swept the snow off the top of his head as he spoke. "Never thought they would be serious when they said the Light Legion was coming to attack."
Ether looked over the wall. "Yeah, didn't think they would come over here and attempt to fight us all. We'll fight long and hard to keep this Frosticus Legion up and running. Trust us."
The guard smiled then returned to looking for the Light Legion.
As Ether scanned the area below, he noticed how strange everything was. The snow and banners mindlessly waving below them were unphased of what they were between of.
He tilted his head a little, then caught the glimpse of something. "Hey, you see that lump of snow?" Ether asked the archer.
"What? Oh, yeah, what about it?" he replied.
"That's not snow, that's a Light Legion, bolt him!" Ether clarified.
The archer followed instructions and shot at the lump of snow, expecting the arrow to sink into it. But the arrow actually struck a target.
"What? How did you know that wasn't snow?" the archer asked Ether.
"I don't know, I just had a strange urge to look over there," Ether answered truthfully.
When he looked around for a cause, Ether's eyes connected with Hazen's. She smiled at him, then winked.
"It was probably you..." Ether thought.
Then a voice crept into his mind. "Correct, it was me!"
Ether jumped back, startled at the sudden voice. "Wait, Hazen, really?"
Instead of responding through his mind, Hazen simply nodded. Keeping the same smile on her face.
"Wait, is this how your Third Rule works?" Ether tried to continue their conversation.
Then she nodded again. "Took down a Boulder Cemtras alone with my two hands, that's how. I can tap into anyone's minds and connect the two. I can do pretty much everything!"
"What do you mean?"
"I connected your mind to his, then made it so he couldn't see yours. Because of your mind being in two places at the same time, you went to look at where the other end was and found him!"
Ether smirked. "Well, stay away from my mind. There's a lot of stuff in here I don't want you looking at!"
Hazen bursted out laughing. "You don't want me to see through the times you pictured yourself being cuddled by a Yomie? Okay!"
"What? Stop that!" Ether thought.
But Hazen didn't respond, she cut the connection.
"FIRE!" Quill shouted.
Ether looked down past the wall again and realized the Light Legion was now approaching them. He grabbed Tellendor from his back and jumped off the wall.
He landed on the outside, weapon in hand, ready to devastate the Light Legion.
