Days went by in the blink of an eye, now Infinus rallied beneath where Terron was situated. The day before the attack, Valentine notified Frosticus and asked for extra Sky Beasts for the attack.
Quill hesitantly handed twenty over, with the condition of some loyal Thawed could spectate the attack. An offer that didn't take a second thought for Valentine to accept.
Ether mounted Gloria, keeping a solid grip on Tellendor as his heart pounded in his ears. Today would be the first time he had accepted a Sky Beast's descent, so he was unsure.
"All's ready, just your command is left," Valentine said with a pleased tune.
As he opened his mouth to give out his command, he could feel Digon taking a deep breath in. "Sky Beasts, in the air!"
Nineteen white beasts rapidly ascended along Digon, followed by a single black one. Each beast housed four warriors, slowing them down enough to allow Terron's gaze to meet the whizzing by forces.
Jakery watched from his spot on the ground, keeping his eyes on the rapidly shrinking helmet his brother got not too long before. Something about seeing this display inspired him.
"Okay, ground team. Knock their doors down!" he howled.
Terron opened their gates, getting ready to face Infinus in their purest form. An unmistakable anthem, that of marching Thawed, echoed throughout the mountain.
Valentine kept his eyes down on the conflict as both sides clashed against each other. It was like two waves in the ocean, the only direction they knew was forward in their path.
Winds began kicking up, warning everyone of the incoming frost-wave. Airborne Infinus drew their deepest breaths before jumping off into a dive.
Black and blue pride rained from the icy heavens, angels of a newfound order. Weapons hung from their backs or hips as they rapidly approached the ground.
"Let's not keep them waiting," Ether murmured.
He leapt off behind them, dodging the remaining Sky Beasts as they helplessly watched the strangers jump off. Furious winds slammed against the face of his helmet, an icy fever.
Followed by the sudden stiffness, one that meant no good to all attackers except one. Valentine narrowed his gaze, trying to keep his eyes on the battlefield while rallying the beasts behind Gloria.
Thin ice shattered off the armor plates of every raining Infinus member, many of which landed in the wrong target. Winds pushed them away from the inside and more towards the outside.
Ether forced an arm over his head, forming a fist with his hand. Then he pointed his feet to the ground, ready to slam with full force.
Ice and snow jumped into the air from the impact, getting swept away by the winds. He had to act quickly under the little distraction his arrival caused.
Raw Thawed strength formed a wall before him, one that Ether had to bite his lower lip for. Forces got ready to bring down their weapons on the little one.
His response was to exploit his size difference. A mace slammed down before him, the force of the impact nearly threw him to the ground. Pure adrenaline motivated him to respond.
Before the Thawed could recover his weapon, Ether jumped on his knee then leapt over his head. Tellendor pointed down, where it drove straight through his skull.
Another hand reached up for him, then slammed him against the ground. Ether struggled against the impact, that's when he felt a blunt axe drive itself full strength onto his chest.
"GAH, NARAGH!" he screamed in pain.
Most other Thawed believed that was the end of it, causing them to turn their attention at the incoming tidal wave of Infinus fury.
"Na-tanu, ommi'to," the attacking Thawed whispered to Ether.
As they brought the axe down again, Ether leapt out of the snow-covered ground. It came down and kicked up more distractions, allowing the frightened Ether to attack another Thawed.
He jumped and drove his foot into the back of another Thawed's elbow, breaking it on impact. As they screamed in pain, Ether picked up the mace they had and turned to face the previous attacker.
Both Variants locked eyes, a moment of high tension between the two. Until Ether suddenly rushed closer. The Thawed brought down their axe where Ether was going to be, except they missed.
The Zesher spun to the side, then used the momentum to drive the mace into the side of their skull. Shattering the armor plates and bones alike. He grabbed the two-handed axe, then threw it at another Thawed.
It struck their rib, lowering their defense dramatically. Allowing another Infinus warrior to drive their pike through their skull.
Ether panted, trying to regain his control through the little moment of peace. He noticed more forces were incoming, so he dashed towards Tellendor.
Digon beckoned, inviting the young Zesher to impress. Another frost-wave swept through the area, covering everything in white because of the loose snow from earlier.
This was it, Ether had to make a move to ensure their next push was successful. During the six minutes of the frost-wave, fourteen Thawed fell dead.
A powerful weapon struck their bodies until they stopped living. Their echoes lingered in the ears of many, bringing terror to their minds as Ether stood over a downed Thawed.
Something was clear about the battlefield, this new Legion was equipped with well-trained forces. It was evident by their push and invasion. So many of the remaining outside Thawed bowed.
"Okay, I need ten to bring these Thawed back to Jakery," Ether called out to some incoming warriors. "Do not let any of our forces attack them, they are our men now. Treat them with respect."
Those same warriors nodded and invited the bowing Thawed to join, and they did. They all walked in unison away from the conflict. Where Jakery was waiting alongside the beasts.
Ether turned to face the nearby wooden walls and opened gates. Hell broke loose on the inside. Infinus forces were overwhelmed and were struggling to run away from the defending Thawed.
A sense of overprotective instinct washed over him. "Infinus! Forward to victory!"
