Time flew since that morning, just like Gloria. She folded all four of her wings outside of the war room, where Danitour stood. His hands behind his back, watching the world go by.
"Hello, sir. Came back for another day with your army?" Danitour called out.
Ether looked over Gloria, eyes twisted in concern. "Uh... 'sir?' What do you mean?"
Danitour pointed up at him. "You are the leader of this Legion. The title comes with the position, it's to show respect."
"Well, I prefer being called Ether," his muffled voice escaped through his helmet. "I do not like being treated like I have more value simply because of some weird title."
Valentine overheard his response, it caught him by surprise. But it was a welcomed one. It showed his student had a level head, titles only helped in poisoning one's perspective of themselves.
Especially when they are to boast about their power and achievements. Those only existed so the stronger ones could mock them for.
"I like that response," Valentine jumped off Gloria's back. "However, we are here to do something else. A discussion with you, Danitour. Regarding our next moves."
Danitour warmly laughed, approving of the idea. He stepped aside, sending his left shoulder to point at the nearby door to the war room.
All of them unmounted their companion, leaving Gloria out there on her own. But she liked it. In time, some of the city kids approached her with small meals to feed her.
Candles burned brightly around the table that sat in the middle of the room. Dimly ignited the center, casting everything else in the room into complete darkness. At least it was like that until Danitour opened some windows.
Sunlight washed the floor and portions of the room in their near-divine appearances. Making the entire room more welcoming for the visitors.
A minute after, Danitour laid out a map in the center of the table. It was locations that spread all over Imbushko and touching small sections of the neighboring Yarno and Uvurim regions.
Ether smiled as he came closer, only to realize something was off on the map. Some parts seemed off to him. Such as the fact that a Legion called Conqueror was still on there.
Kas, before their Sunset, had announced the Conqueror Legion was taken down and pushed out of Imbushko for their involvement in a potential war against another Legion. When Ether closely examined the map, he got a clue of who.
Conqueror was next to Onum. Two Legions being so close to each other without being on good terms often ended in a conflict, if not war. And the Light Legion acknowledged this.
"Huh, when was the last time you made a new map for this region?" Ether asked.
Danitour sighed. "Unfortunately, roughly a year or two ago. We recently decided not to involve ourselves in any conflicts. So we ceased."
Valentine pointed to Digon's base, about where the Terron Legion was. His eyes examined the area, making sure it was close to how it was in real life. When he was confident, he spoke.
"Here it is, Terron. Fortunately for us, I have a plan on how to strike," Valentine quickly got on topic.
Ether crossed his arms, ready to hear what his ally was going to say.
"We use Sky Beasts to bring ourselves over them, then we perform Sky Beast's Descent right inside. Dismantle their defenses before they get a chance to arm themselves," Valentine explained.
Oria rolled her eyes. "What even is a Sky Beast's Descent?"
"Odi Oria, it's when you fall from a high place and let your body guide you to safety," Ether answered.
"What?" Oria tilted her head in confusion. "Woudn't that kill you? Also, what does 'Odi' mean?"
Jakery smiled, getting ready to tell her. "Odi means ador-"
Ether snatched his younger sibling. "Odi means nothing, do not worry. And yes, it can, but not if you are careful."
Oria crossed her arms. "Odi means odor? Well, you first called me animal and now that I smell bad. Okay, looks like you don't care about me!"
Her response struck Ether, he did not want her to be mad at him. So he tried to play around with her, to show he was not mad or anything. It was just a secret, one he wanted to hide from her.
Valentine and Danitour watched the two rough-house. Oria tried to climb on his back, while Ether tried to bring her to his front so he could hug her. Meanwhile, Jakery watched on.
"Well, he can try to say he doesn't like her all he wants. But it's evident, at least by how he acts," Valentine said to himself. "Anyway, so about Onum. Ether drafted up an idea."
Danitour turned his attention to the shores. "What is it?"
"Instead of a full force invasion, we surround the main city with a small group of warriors. Then when their back up arrives, we strike them from behind and claim victory."
While the plan was solid, Danitour still had his concerns. For starters, they did not have enough forces to pull this off.
"You see, we are going to hit Terron, then Onum. Their numbers are ours if we successfully launch this attack. We can use Eteni Wool to keep our forces warm," Valentine explained.
Danitour nodded, agreeing with it. He turned to face the window, where Ether stood victorious with a pouting Feral in his arms. The Zesher hugged her tight, as if it was Jakery.
"I can tell we have big hopes for the future. All Legion needs to do is get the Sky Beasts," Danitour commented.
Valentine chuckled. "Just leave all the extra stuff to me. I'm going to visit Frosticus at some point, will ask them for some of their mounts."
Ether lifted Oria as if she was his trophy. "Odi Oria and Jakery and me will go to Etek Dur for Stram!"
"Looks like we are all going to be busy. Let's not keep it waiting, then." Danitour concluded.
