I immediately knew when the butler told something to Eduardo and moved to Elian. And Elian was whisked away, disappeared from my sight. I watched helplessly as Elian turned away, his broad back facing me. He was so close to me that I could see the dust particles sticking to his black coat, then I couldn't anymore. He turned around a sharp corner down a different walk of the hallway, closing in on the heels of the butler who guided him. I immediately felt emptied out, when I watched him not even uttering a word of reassurance to me. I know I am expecting a little too much given the fact that he has every right to be mad at me but I was still expecting something from him. For some reason. Am I attached to Elian?
