Veiled by a flickering flame of blue:

I see my love as in a dream—

The velvet voices belt out in married union and my hand is in Elian's firm grip as we slowly take echoed steps down the stairs. This is where we slowly make our grand entrance and my dark blue pants seem to be squeezing into Adian's— my slim waist.

I dare a glance at Elian, for one last time, in the comfort of privacy as we wind around the spiral landing of the carpeted stairway.

His side profile is distinct and tilts with confidence. The sharp straight nose and the bend of his chin. I look downwards, to the curve of Adam's apple and slowly drag my gaze back up to his deep brown eyes that pool out like the deep dark abyss of something forbidden. 

And it stares back at me, the abyss.
