Ximena skipped class for some days in order to avoid seeing Brian and she didn't even leave the house all under the pretense that she wasn't feeling well. He offered to come but she totally rejected the offer and wasn't even picking any calls or replying any messages.
She had not told her friends the memories that keeps popping from her head which she had not figured out yet. She was relapsing back to the state she had just gotten out from weeks ago.
The wreck state Brian found her. She was just going to trust herself to fix everything right no matter how bad they were. But here was her own body, betraying her negatively. She had not pondered on what happened much since it just happened the week day before she and her friends talked about it and she had not even seen him since then. And she didn't think anything was probably wrong for fact that they didn't talk because she had left his apartment all by herself before he even woke up.
But now, she had her doubts and they kept choking her thoughts.
Kim and Gina didn't catch on that she was faking her illness and she couldn't tell them too because she had no reasons to tell yet. She had none. So much for her pretense, she really missed Brian so much that she had to refrain herself everytime she wanted to talk to him.
She gave up on the fifth day and got ready to go to school, but she couldn't stop thinking about the what Brian thought of her. He would probably want to know why she got stiff and killed the fun. But she would have no answer whatsoever to give.
It wasn't as bad as she imagined, he just hugged her and talked about the class being empty without her and the assignments they were given. They were back to normal but her head and mind wasn't. Her thoughts were killing her.
And she always tried to disrupt Kim whenever she wanted to talk about Brian and what she said happened. She was scared. Scared it was going to be something she might not be able to handle.
Kim was enjoying her new relationship with Aiden which was the new talk of the campus and she didn't care anyways. The passing comments about how she was just his new fuck toy. She tried as much as possible to comport herself regardless of what they said but they were hurtful words and they pinched her emotions. Doubt was dwelling in her heart but she decided to trust her feelings for him.
"Regardless of what happens, I'll heal. I will heal," she told herself everytime before meeting him.
Gina on the other hand was back to school on a low-key. She sold her car and decided to take a break before she got another one which she wasn't sure till when. She still had anxiety in her about how she would act or what she would say if she and Ashton ever met on the same lane.
And the most surprising thing happened to her when she saw a call on her phone and she recognized the number even if she had deleted it from her phone. She wondered if she should pick the call when the phone rang several times without any response.
But he wasn't joking around and she knew that fact, when he came to her lecture building and waited for her to come. As soon as she saw him, her heart skipped a beat in shock because she was never expecting to see him.
"Would you like to talk Ginny?" He asked her standing right in front of her.
Her head went blank for a second because this wasn't what she always imagined. Not he, coming to meet her to talk. She hated the fact that he called her in the same way he called her before.The first thing she noticed was the fact that his voice sounded calmer than ever.
"What is happening?"
