Gina could not believe the fact that Aiden wanted to be friends with her, he said he didn't like the fact that they acted like enemies whenever they met.
"You want clear Ashton." You said you never wanted to see me again so, why come here and say this Gina asked trying to keep her cool.
"I really don't understand why I did that but I really wanna make up and want to be cool with one another."
"I am sorry Gina."
Gina thought she had not heard well, what Ashton just said but she was too pissed to even consider that.
"What are you sorry about," Ashton she asked calmly rolling her eyes like she was feeling an itch there.
"Anything and everything, Gina."
"There is actually nothing to be sorry about, we wanted a short thing and it had to end sooner or later and also, it just had to end that way so, I absolutely don't see any reason why you should sorry."
Gina could feeling her voice shaking as she paused slowly in between her words and sniffed. The manner he spoke to her and the words he said. Everything flashed before her face as she not the reminisce on the bad memories.
"So, if there is nothing more to say, can I leave now," she asked him and stood up without waiting to hear an answer.
"Ashton said all that?" Kim asked with a shocked expression. "Why wait till now to try and fix things."
"He must be totally out of his mind to think you'll be cool after all that happened."
"Breakups don't have to be so dramatic right," Gina asked slowly thinking of what more to say but it wasn't really coming.
"Yeah, only if it was not on a crazy, disgusting, humiliating and painful note Gina, only if it wasn't," Kim said sternly.
Ximena tried to work out things with Brian, while Kim was busy convincing herself Aiden wouldn't do anything stupid. Gina on the other hand, got a new car the following week and tried every of her best to avoid Ashton but he found her everytime.
"Okay, what do you want me to do Ashton?" She asked already pissed.
"Are we cool now."
"Oh, yeah we are," she replied wanting to get out of the conversation as fast as possible.
"Can we go on a date?"
"Ash, friends are friends not lovers or intended lovers, so I don't wanna go on a date with you."
Ashton gave her two choices to pick do he could believe she was all good with him.
'A park or a date.'
"I thought you hated parks," she asked dipping her eyebrows in irritation.
"Yeah, my grandpa was shoot to death at a park."
Gina was surprised to hear Ashton talk about those stuffs easily to her. Something he really hated her asking about.
"I am sorry that happened," she said softly thinking in her head why he was telling her this when she didn't even ask.
She would not want to go where he had bad memories, but a date wasn't what she wanted either. It didn't feel right to her. Never would she want to replay their past so, she suggested seeing a movie instead.
"Horror or action thriller," she emphasized.
The first step to Ximena's therapy was facing her scary thoughts. Going home was probably the right thing to do. But she wasn't ever going to tell her mum what she remembered her aunt's friend do to her.
'Sexually assaulting a minor!'
But Ximena wasn't ready to tell, or say. She needed time.
