"I really don't want to work today," said Rose, who had put her bag on the desk and her body occupied the soft sofa in the corner of the room, where the woman usually received her guests.
Rose didn't like being in the office at all but she couldn't keep working from home at all. She had to help out his father's company and take care of all the designs that would become the company's projects.
The sound of knocking on the door was soft now, Rose had already let out a sigh when she saw her secretary enter her work room with a stack of documents in her hand.
"It's still too early for a pile of work, Mia," said Rose who forced herself to get up from the sofa that the woman had only been sitting on for a while.
"Work never waits, Rose," Mia said smiling sweetly as she put the pile of documents in her hands on the table.
"Your father asked to do everything. Today must be done," Mia said, making Rose's sighs now audible.
"He really made me move from my sadness to this shitty job," said Rose, glancing disapprovingly at the pile of documents on the table.
"Besides, it's been 3 years. I know, losing Damian is the most difficult thing in your life. But, you got through it when Peter left.."
Mia is now getting a serious look from Rose. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have talked about Peter," Mia said guiltily.
"Peter has been gone long enough. It doesn't matter. Sooner or later I will forget Damian too. But, I don't want to do it right now," said Rose with a flat smile.
"There's a package for you," said Mia, who had already stepped out of Rose's study.
"Package?"
Dose frowned and thought about what package Mia meant. So far, Rose had only gotten packages from Damian so far. And it feels weird to hear Mia say that Rose got the package. Mia returned to the room with a red handbag.
"There is someone who sent food for you," Mia said smiling happily. The woman put the bag on the table and let Rose take a peek at what was inside.
"Garlic bread," Rose mumbled very happily while checking one by one the food in the bag. And the smile on Rose's face was completely etched at this moment. All the food in the bag was the woman's favorite.
"Is there a sender's name?" Rose asked Mia. The woman shook her head.
"The courier who brought it here didn't say anything. However, from the address I managed to get, it's from Eflic," Mia replied calmly.
"Eflic? Aren't we going to have a meeting with them? They're a real estate company that's gaining popularity because it owns all the homes in a great area and all the interior companies are vying for contracts from them. And of course my dad did," said Rose, automatically mentions all he knows about Eflic.
"Of course. The meeting with Eflic will be at 3 o'clock. Could it be that you managed to secretly attract someone in Eflic?" Mia asked curiously. Rose shook her head.
"You know, I even just found out today is a meeting with Eflic. You can continue your work, Mia. Thank you for bringing this to me," said Rose smiling sweetly. Mia nodded and immediately walked out of Rose's study.
Rose immediately took out all the boxes of food from the bag and opened all the boxes without eating breakfast. "How did he know I liked all this food so much?" asked Rose smiling sweetly at the three lunchboxes that were right in front of her at this time.
The woman's blue eyes caught a piece of paper that was in the bag and reached for it. Rose read the contents of the paper with a sweet smile. "I'm really going to enjoy all this food. Thanks whoever sent this to me."
