After a year and a half, Geer had begun a slew of strikes in retaliation for what had been done to them during the peace talks.
But the elders of the Ucholo tribe had acknowledged their sons' mistake, and they had been seeking peace and attempting to persuade Geer that what had happened was not their plan, as they had been told by the youth.
Uluhu, on the other hand, was killed in the attack, and the Geer community blamed the young men engaging in the peace talks for his death.
Because of the loss, the Geer community became so bitter that they turned down many peace requests from Ucholo and continued to fight them, but Ucholo was determined to make peace this time.
The first guaranteed that the young males responsible for the incident were brought to justice, which persuaded the Geer community to accept peace. The location was picked, and a cadre of devoted men was chosen to defend it.
They re-stated the regulations and agreed to follow them.
When the dates were arranged, young males were also invited.
The two communities gathered after six months to resolve their issues.
Ucholo agreed to reimburse their children for the loss they had caused in the previous meeting.
Many plans were put in place to ensure that a peace agreement was made between the two communities
For the first time in tens of thousands of years, the peace agreement was signed, and the two communities returned to their homes, hopeful that the peace would remain. Unfortunately, the peace was cut short after a few years when the two young men from Geer attacked and killed three men from Ucholo in a quest for revenge for their brothers who were killed in the previous peace talks attack. Many other unacceptable things immediately and after some short time when the peace deal was signed. Having no trust between the communities and some of the negative influences from their neighbours complicated things and nothing seemed to get better.
