She should have focused more on this than on her curiosity about the earth because honestly, this was painful.
So when she landed on the ground, she knew it would take her time to get up as the pain was too much to bear, and screaming out would be a disadvantage as she didn't want to alert any animals or them. She wanted to do this alone and since they didn't want to listen to her, everything she seemed to say was more delusional than anything else.
