Aural opened her mouth to say something to Huitaca but they heard a crunch and turned to the side. But it wasn't the boys or anyone they could see. That made them feel uneasy and Aural noticed Huitaca pull out a knife in her pocket. Aural didn't have a weapon but she didn't want to make it obvious that she would go in search of it.
Or worse, make it obvious that she didn't even have a weapon on her, no matter how small it could be.
They glided to each others back as they rotated in opposite directions. Trying to see who it was and what was going on. But after doing this more than once, she realized that there was nothing. They let out a heavy breath, feeling as though they were just being paranoid.
