''But...'' One of the girl's wanted to rebuke but was silenced when a other one nudged her to looked at Skylar's face. That fair face was now shrouded in coldness.
As expected, within a minute after Ivy said her words, Skylar had landed yet another blow on Ivy's head.
''Skyyy! It hurts.''
''Oh... does it? I thought the first one didn't bring you back to your senses so I was helping you.'' Skylar's nonchalant voice tone clearly warned Ivy that something is wrong. Very wrong.
''I...''
''Haize... This idiot. Why is your brain inverse
inversely proportional to your skills in sports? This dummy.'' Skylar had toned down her voice by a vast degree. She had a helpless look replacing her earlier cold one and her hand continued to rub the spot she had smacked earlier softly. ''V, I was never the captain. The spot was always saved for you. No one can take it. We wouldn't let anyone to take it. That's your spot and that will always be your spot. There will never be any changes unless you are too old to play.''
''Yes captain. The spot was always saved for you. No one's taking it. They don't have the ability to.''
''Exactly captain. No one can compare to you. That's why you are forever stuck to it. You don't have the option to disown it.''
The girls joined as they said solemnly, yet proudly.
Hearing those usually playful girls say such words with such a degree of seriousness made Ivy tear up.
The sense of proudness erupted in her heart, not because she is such an irreplaceable person for the team but because she is a part of such a team.
Tears filled her eyes as they threatened to fall off but Ivy didn't let it. Afted a swipe of her sleeves, she smiled brightly and initiated a group hug.
This decision of hers to return to playing is the best decision she ever made. She would never regret it. Ever.
''Captain, welcome back to WST Backyard.''
''WELCOME TO WST BACKYARD!'' The group shouted as they hugged together tightly.
''AHEM.'' The group hug was disturbed by someone clearing his throat.
This one sound made the group of girls look at eachother. Every one of their eyes were filled with fear. The glare they were feeling on themselves exuded pressure which was absolutely no less than the pressure exuded by a monster.
''Fuck.'' The girls cursed under their breath.
