Chapter 18 - Chapter 18 Rapture

There was a once prophecy that the far seer foretold: "There will be a day when a human will enter the Gate of Life and Death. The spirit ship will once again sail to the gate and grant that mortal's wish. However, there are conditions to be met for the wish to be granted: a sacrifice of taking away a life to bring back another one."

Moreover, the prophecy states that such act will cause rapture in the spirit realm as punishment to all those who vowed to protect them and kept it hidden until their death: a rapture that will kill all living creatures inside the spirit world and will release all evil spirits to the human world.

No one can defy the prophecy. Only if the man is stopped from attaining the Stone of Life will both realms be saved. If the world-ending catastrophe was to be prevented, then the sound of trumpets will be heard from the sky, and a bright morning sun shall rise and illuminate the mortal world. Humans will be full of glee, loneliness will be no more, leaders of all nations will have peaceful diplomacy, and the world will be forever in peace and harmony.

Kagi: Sagiri, wake up! Get yourself moving or I will make you regret coming to me.

Sagiri: Please believe me, I've heard of it.

Kagi: Argh! Again with that prophecy! Well then, if you're so insistent, tell me all about it that I need to know or shut up!

Sagiri: The prophecy said that one day a mortal will enter the Gate of Life and Death to make a wish. But only a true guardian can use the Stone of Life or else evil will be unleashed in both the spirit world and the human world.

Kagi: Not convincing enough, sounds more like something made up by your father.

Sagiri: NO! I heard it from every guardian in the city.

Kagi: Well, if it is true then I'll have to see for myself.

Sagiri: No, sensei. Stop please! This isn't what you want.

Explorer: Stop whining you little brat!

Sagiri: You will all die and burn.

Explorer: Oh so frightening so scary! HAHAHAHA I will burn, I will die. I'm scared!

Kagi: Who told you to bully the child? You don't want to end up like what you saw earlier.

Sagiri: He sure will.

Explorer: You will be the one to regret first.

They set out a camp to stay for the night. Kagi throws a party to celebrate their upcoming success in retrieving the stone of life. While everyone celebrates, one man goes for a quick walk but has other ill intentions.

While Sagiri takes a nap inside Kagi's tent, a drunken explorer goes inside and sits beside her, brushing her hair off her face. Sagiri wakes up, fearful for her life.

Sagiri: WHA-WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

Explorer: I told you that you'll be the one to regret first right?

Sagiri: STAY AWAY!

Explorer: Shout all you can because nobody's gonna come and help you.

Sagiri: SENSEI!

Explorer: Shut up! Stay still you little brat.

Sagiri: Please don't, please!

Explorer: We'll be done quickly, don't worry.

Sagiri: No! SENSEI!

Explorer: I told you to shu---

Kagi: Bring him out. Sagiri, I'll handle this.

Sagiri: Sensei, thank you. But…

Kagi: Alright men, bring him to the table.

Kagi beats the drunken explorer until he cannot stand up then Kagi gives his warning.

Kagi: You know, we came here only for one thing! Just one thing. Mess up and you would end up dead and get your head cut off then get fed to those evil spirits. Just so you know that girl right there is still my student and her mother is the town mayor.

Explorer: Let's leave him here before he causes more trouble.

Kagi: Then we will leave the girl and this stupid piece of garbage here; let's give him a taste of death.

Gunman: Roger, I'll write down the message.
