Allan spent the rest of the day going door to door looking for everyone he knew to apologize for all the inconvenience.
Seeing all those people mad at him, Allan couldn't help but feel somewhat emotional. Yes, they were all very angry at him but that also meant that what he had done hurt them and that they considered him a true friend.
Nobody would be angry like that if they didn't consider him a true friend.
Allan had long since stopped thinking of the city's inhabitants as mere NPCs. However, it was only at this moment that he really began to regard them as true living beings.
Even if it really was just data on a computer, for Allan they were alive and had already taken a place in his heart, although Allan will never admit it.
Saying that the NPCs are alive and that he considers them his friends is an excellent way to go to the madhouse.
After walking all over the city for a whole day Allan was exhausted but still lacked a person to apologize to.
Allan saved the worst for last.
Alan was in front of the guards' barracks. He entered the building and made his way all the way to a modest room.
Knock knock
"Who is it?" said a voice from within.
"It's me, Allan, can I come in?"
"Yeah, enter"
The room was small, basically there was only one closet and two bunk beds.
In one of the beds a young man was putting on his armor while he ignored the person who had just entered.
"Hey Tom" Allan said not really knowing how to start this conversation.
"Well, well, well, look who's here crawling," Tom said in an arrogant tone.
"I can't believe that after all this time you would do something like that, but considering that I am a magnanimous and compassionate person if you sincerely apologize and kneel-"
BAM
Before Tom could say another word, Allan's fist had connected with his face.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING? IS THIS HOW YOU ASK FOR AN APOLOGY?!! " Tom said as he got up and hit Allan.
"THAT'S WHAT I SHOULD SAY, HOW DARE YOU SPREAD RUMORS ABOUT ME WITHOUT CONSULTING ME BEFORE IF THEY WERE TRUE?!!!" Allan said as he dodged Tom's blows and hit him again.
"BUT THEY WERE TRUE !!!"
"IRRELEVANT!!!"
And so, two grown men began to fight like children.
...
The previously tidy room they were in looked like it had experienced a hurricane.
In the middle of the room were two young men lying on the floor out of breath.
Suddenly one of the two said:
"Hey, you knew I wasn't going to leave without saying goodbye right?" Allan asked.
"... Yeah, when I told Sara what you did it, it was just to annoy you a bit, I didn't imagine that things would fly out of proportion ... I'm sorry"
Allan raised his fist off the ground and gave him a light blow to the head.
"Ouch"
"You are an idiot, did you know?"
"…Shut up"
After that they both got up off the ground and Allan said:
"I have to go yet I'm not sure if Sara has forgiven me" he said as he remembered what happened before.
"Hahaha, good luck" Tom said smiling.
Trying to contain the urge to hit Tom again, Allan walked out the door and didn't look back.
When Tom looked and he saw Alan turn the corner he breathed a sigh of relief that his friend had forgiven him.
However, when he saw the state of the room he thought for a moment and said:
"AHH! Allan, wait you're not trying leave me to clean all this, right?!!! "
"Allan, ALLAN"
Tom tried to search for Allan around the barracks but he had already vanished.
...
While Tom was looking everywhere for Allan, he was leaving the barracks when he ran into someone unexpected.
"Hahaha, I see things between you and the others have been solved"
"Captain Smith" Allan said when he saw who was talking to him.
"I owe you an apology too Allan" said the captain.
"You?" asked Allan surprised.
"Yes, my proposal was too unexpected, besides I was too impatient waiting for an immediate response from you" said the captain as he got a little closer.
"You don't really have to accept the proposal if you prefer to do something else. Of course, even if you reject it, it will always be there for you. I apologize for having put you under so much pressure "
The captain's apology was unexpected, while it is true that Alan was not expecting an offer like that, he does not consider that the captain was to blame for his friends getting angry with him.
Hearing what Allan had to say Captain Smith breathed a sigh of relief and said:
"Let me know when you make a decision, whatever happens you will always be welcome here"
On the other hand, this last statement from the captain in no way Allan would believe it.
If that had really been the case then in the quest, he received regarding the job Smith's favorability would not fall to neutral in case of failure.
Captain Smith is a crafty man after all, and long ago he learned to mix truth and lies when he conversed with other people.
If Allan didn't have the system, he would be dancing in the captain's palm at all times.
"No, captain what I said in his office the other day I meant it, I would love to accept your offer"
Although a series of unfortunate coincidences occurred once Allan returned to the inn, he did not regret having accepted the captain's offer. After all, many of the things captain Smith said in his office were true.
Allan learned almost everything he could learn on Tutorial Island, if he want to keep improving, he has no choice but to get into the real game.
Even after so long Allan hadn't forgotten his goal of getting into the game. Although the Unlucky title and the Bad Seed title will cause him enormous inconvenience, Alan does not think of giving up.
That does not mean that Alan is going to forget the people of the town. Contrary to what people think, it is not necessary to be close to the people that he appreciates to continue appreciating them.
Of course, before disappearing once and for all from the town Alan will hold an apology and farewell party for all his friends and all the people who have helped him during his stay.
After hearing Allan's response, Captain Smith spoke:
"Hahaha, It's that so. Then I am glad I asked the right person; I am sure you will do it well in the Dragon Kingdom"

[Due to your efforts a new title has been generated: New Leaf]
"Uh?" Allan said upon receiving the notifications.
"Something happens?" Seeing that Allan was acting something out of the ordinary, Captain Smith asked with a surprised face.
"Um, no, everything is fine. If you'll excuse me, I must go, I still have a lot of people to apologize to" Allan said while making a awful face.
"Of course, I will not entertain you anymore" said Smith when he saw that the conversation ended and he left for his office.
Allan left the barracks and went to a quiet place to observe the changes that have occurred in his menu.
(Please don't be a bad title, please don't be a bad title) Allan's thoughts ran through his head one after another with all the will he could muster.
After seeing that there was no one in the area Allan opened the menu.
"Uh"
[New Leaf]
Everyone says they can change, and it is true that it is possible.
But possible does not mean easy. There are many who are found with the barrier of change.
You have overcome it, and you have done it in a way that almost no person can do, you have changed for the better.
No one will ever really know the difficulties that came your way to get to this point, but you have overcome them and you will always be an example to those who follow this path.
Increase the favorability with people who want to improve.
The title of this then came as a surprise to Allan of all the things he was waiting for this was one of the last.
However, what he was speechless was not the title itself, it was the consequences that brought that title with it.
Allan had tried everything, but whatever happened all his efforts were useless.
After months and months of hard work Allan achieved what he had set out to do without even being aware of it.
In hindsight hearing the name of the title it should have been obvious that this would happen yet it didn't even occur to him.
Allan had gotten rid of a title.
The bad seed title was missing.
