Chapter 33 - Chapter 31

Making this decision was not easy for Allan, despite the difficulties that may arise in his chances of finding a job, the thing he was most worried about was that he didn´t want to disappoint his parents.

Allan's parents were of the countryside and they worked very hard for Allan to study in the city, if they are told that his son does not attend classes to play video games, no one can imagine what they would think.

Even so, Allan decided to make this decision because he was sure that the end result will be much better.

But it was not easy.

What if he is wrong? What if Idle Online ends up being a trend that everyone will forget about?

Although Allan has not dropped out of classes and will continue to study, the decisions he is making now will impact his future so is inevitable that he is worried.

The decision has already been made, the only thing that can be done now is to give it his all.

With that mentality Allan returned to his house and entered the game.

Allan appeared in his room at Sam's inn, took his luggage, and headed into the woods.

Along the way Allan was reviewing the steps that he is going to follow in the hunt.

After reassessing the strength of the big gray Allan realized that his strength would not be enough so the next fight will also have an element of luck.

There is no other way. The maximum level in Tutorial Island is a very big limitation. If there were ways to get beyond level ten forget about hunting the big gray it would be lucky if the players who were here before him had left him a rabbit.

When he got to the forest, Allan didn't rush into the big gray territory.

Allan had been investigating the habits of wolves in real life. And he discovered a series of data that helped him clarify some things about the behavior of the big gray.

Wolves are capable of hunting both day and night thanks to their keen sense of smell and their special vision that allows them to observe what they have in front of them in low light.

That explains why the big gray did not fall before the bait that Allan put on it the last time, it was already hunting before Allan arrived.

Putting a rabbit as bait was also a miscalculation.

Wolves usually feed mostly on large species, such as sheep and goats. Although lone wolves depend more on small animals that they can hunt by jumping on top of them and holding them with their front legs, some lone wolves have hunted large animals without any help have been documented.

A single wolf can eat between 3 to 3.5 kilos of food at one time, although they can eat 13 to 15 kg when hungry. A wolf requires about 1.5 tons of meat per year, so a bunny would be nothing more than a snack for the big gray.

Furthermore, wolves are highly intelligent creatures so even if it left the prey on the ground the big gray would not catch it immediately, but would first survey its surroundings.

After reflecting on the mistakes of previous fights, Allan knows exactly what to do.

...

In the middle of the night in the middle of the forest a wild boar could be seen running through the trees.

The boar had many injuries on his body and it seemed that he was running away from something. A few minutes later, the boar began to slow down.

After searching the surroundings and not finding his pursuer, the boar breathed a sigh of relief and dropped to the ground in exhaustion.

Swish

At that moment something pounced on the animal that was resting, the boar tried to react, but it had lowered its guard and was too slow.

If someone had been present, they would have seen a huge sliver wolf biting the neck of an enormous wild boar who could not get rid of it no matter how hard he tried.

After almost a minute the boar fell back to the ground, this time along with its last breath.

The wolf, seeing the huge prey that he had hunted this time, made a sound of satisfaction and dragged the great prey with its teeth to his lair quickly to avoid being seen by other animal who could want to steal the food.

If the wolf had been more vigilant, it could have observed that from afar a lone human was watching him with a spyglass hidden on the trees, outlining a smile.

After reaching a cave the wolf dropped the wild boar and began to devour it without a second to lose. Once he was done with the wild boar all that could be seen were the bones.

Happy and full, the wolf decided to sleep to digest the food, so he found a comfortable place, got into a calm posture and slept.

However, the wolf did not get much rest because twenty minutes later he heard someone approach his cave. At that moment the wolf opened its eyes quickly and furious got up and ran towards the intruder.

In front of him was a hairless monkey that it had seen several times prowling in his territory.

The wolf was full of anger, that it allowed that monkey to pass through his territory and to pass near its cave are two very different things.

At that moment the wolf decided to teach him a lesson that he will never forget to teach him who is the head of the territory.

However, when it tried to move towards the monkey a feeling of weakness attacked him mercilessly.

Seeing this the monkey in front of him smiled as he took out his shiny stick and said something that it couldn't understand.

Seeing the big gray stagger in front of him, Allan knew that his plan had succeeded.

As soon as he got to the forest, the first thing he did was find a handful of mud and covered his body with it.

Wolves have a very keen sense of smell that helps them detect their prey, so to camouflage his scent he could only mix it with the scents of the forest.

After that, Allan set out to find a bait, but this time it would be a bigger bait.

Allan did not take long because soon after he found a wild boar sleeping without any concern. All Allan had to do was scare him a bit without showing himself, inflict some wounds with his sword covered in wolf poison and let the animal enter the territory of the big gray.

After that everything was easy. The big grey found the wild boar that entered its hunting area and killed it itself.

The next part seemed a little funny to Allan. He had tried by all means to find where the big gray's sleeping spot was, and it turns out that the wolf itself led him there.

Allan waited for the big gray to devour the boar and for the poison to begin to affect it.

Once enough time had passed, Allan stopped hiding and walked towards the wolf's den as if it were a friend's house.

Once he got too close the wolf himself appeared before him.

Seeing how his prey eyed him, Allan knew that this time it will be different, this time the big gray will go with everything to end his life.

Thinking that finally he will be able to have a real fight against the big gray, Allan couldn't help but smile.

He took out his sword and said:

Shall we start? "
