Chapter 26 - Chapter 25

Allan left the capsule late in the afternoon, the talk with the captain took longer than expected.

In the end, Captain Smith allowed him to attend guards training in the mornings, as long as Allan was willing, Smith never forced him to do anything.

When people talk about Captain Smith, they treat him with such respect that Allan had given the impression of being an imposing man, invincible in a thousand battles, who made his enemies have nightmares just by reminding him, Vice-Captain Eric was more a fit of that description.

But when I spoke with Smith all those ideas vanished from his head, the captain gave the impression of being a scholar rather than a soldier.

Of course, Allan would not dare to underestimate the captain, no matter how harmless he may seem, someone who has managed to obtain a position like Smith's is anything but simple.

Still, regardless of the reasons the captain offered him such compensation, Allan wasn't going to complain about it, after all, the offer didn't hurt him.

Allan got up from the capsule and went to get something to eat from the fridge while he checked his cell phone for new information on the forums.

Due to the time difference between the game and the real world, every day new and interesting things happen so the forums are always full of new information.

While Allan was looking for something that might be of use to him, he found just the opposite.

¨Don't choose the human race¨

Just by looking at the name of the article it was easy to guess what it was.

After discovering the disadvantages of races such as orcs or elves, new players have begun to select the other three races, and considering that the dwarf race specializes in craftmanship, the options for player who don´t want to do that are between beastmen and humans.

However, very few people have chosen the human race, compared to more interesting races in Idle Online, going back to being human also in the game sounds boring.

Despite all this, it is not as if any player has chosen the human race, but it seems that public opinion is not exactly positive.

`Hi, I'm JumpingRabbit

I write this post for all those who intend to join the most popular game right now, Idle Online.

Leaving aside the controversy about the game itself, let's see what it is possible to do in the game.

The moment you enter Idle Online you will be able to access the race selection, where there are five races to choose from for the players: Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Beastmen and Orcs. In this post we will put the halflings aside.

All races have inherent characteristics that can influence player choices, so race selection is very important.

Elves are an incredibly beautiful race that specializes in magic and archery, they are also considered the race with the most potential, so if you want to stand out in the game as a long-range combatant, this is your race.

Dwarves are a species specialized in craftmanship; blacksmithing, carpentry, etc. The dwarf race has reached the pinnacle in every art, no one can beat them, recommended for players who prefer to focus on non-combat professions.

The Orcs have superior strength and combat power, masters of all weapons, they are ideal for those who want to enter combat as soon as possible.

Beastmen are a unique breed never seen before, their great variety of sub-races allows them to adapt to all environments. Perfect for those who want to see what fate has in store for them.

And that's it, these are the breeds you can choose from.

Eh? That I am forgetting someone?

Mmm, who will it be?

Ohh, I know, the worthless human race.

And you may be wondering, what does the human race offer to be so worthless?

I´ll tell you, nothing.

That´s right. The human race doesn´t have any strong point, it´s a race that won´t help you in the game.

Surely some of you think that my comments are too biased, that the human race must have something positive, nope.

Even if it doesn't have an advantage over the other races, at least it will have some advantage in the game, right?

The answer is no again.

Not only does the human race have no special abilities, its background is the worst.

In the other races you can acquire skills and the older members will teach you how to use them; the beastmen will teach you how to use your racial skills, the elves will teach you magic and archery, there is mandatory enlistment in the orc army and every self-respecting dwarf must know how to use a hammer.

No one will guide you in the human race and you cannot ask anyone for help to teach you.

Players of the human race that I have met have only two options: learn the profession you want on your own, or look for a job and earn enough money to have someone teach you.

Players of the human race play to work.

I hope this post has helped you to find out more about the options you have available when entering the game.

That's all, thank you very much´

Then there are a lot of people expressing their support or counting their adventures in the game.

Yep, the human race won't get popular anytime soon.

Technically what that player just said is correct, but in Allan's opinion the system of the human race works in reverse of the other races.

Think of it as if it were real life, would you give someone your knowledge and experience for free just for being of the same race?

The answer is no.

Idle Online is much more similar to real life than what people imagine.

Most likely, after learning the most common techniques of the race, players will be forced to find a place to practice the techniques they have learned, in Allan's opinion what the other races are doing is creating cheap manpower.

The human race on the other hand has the greatest reproductive power in the game (at least of the races that can be played) according to the initial description of the races. The human race has plenty of manpower so no one will teach you anything without asking you for something in return.

But that gives the human race something the rest lack: freedom.

Based on what Allan has seen on the forums, no player has ever left the territory where they started playing, no one except members of the human race.

There are several posts from people who travel the game viewing landscapes and exploring, and they are all members of the human race or halflings.

It's not those players of other races haven't tried it, but the areas where other races reside are surrounded by high-level monsters.

The elves are in the forest, the dwarves in the mountains, the orcs surrounded by enemy races that do not let out any orcs that still breath, and the beastmen are settled in tribes near dangerous localizations with few members that do not have high level skills beside their racial skill.

Allan believes that once the players have a medium level in their race, it will be the humans who have the greatest opportunities to develop.

Ding Ding.

When Allan was about to return to the capsule, the bell rang.

Allan put the phone down from him and got up to open the door.

When he opened the door and saw the person he said:

"Hello Jake"
