Suddenly the cryopod swung open and the body of Mars Thesaurus flung out.
The curse had been broken but it seems that the madam was struggling to even move. All these years in the cryopod made her weak and not able to acclimate quick enough.
She was cold due to the deep sleep procedure where body temperature and metabolism is lowered. But then she started to feel very hot. Due to the heat entering her body and her body was made used to the cold condition.

Jay stepped out of the vehicle and saw that they were surrounded with beasts. Horrendous, deformed, dark beast.
They would change their shape as per their need. Their intelligence was low.
As Jay stepped out of the vehicle the beast pounced on him in a reflex. As the beast kept one step forward the layer of earth below him dissipated into non existence.
The Vehicle started and zoomed out of the area. Leaving Jay behind.

And as a first method in dealing. Use an attack which burns the area around you. An AOE attack. And doused the surrounding area with fire.
Everything burned away except those beast. Still standing.
Jay forged a sword and tried to cut one of them down but still it one it's head was chopped off nothing changed.
Jay eyes darted everywhere as he dodged unscripted attacks which were very hard to predict it was as if he was fighting a gelatinous monster. But it was not even that.
It was not as if air was cut. There was just nothing.
As Jay finished chopping up even his blade disintegrated into non existence.

To test this theory Jay gathered mana in his palms and aimed then towards the abyssal creatures and let out a stream of mana which pierced through the beings.

Phoenix headed with his bow of matra to get Jay back. But Jay was already done with the beast.

Jay :
These beast turned out to be weaker than expected. Just mana was enough for them to die.
Phoenix :
It's because they were lowest stage they can be defeated by mana but nothing else.
Both of them started walking towards the affiliated village.
