Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

As I reached nearby housing I banged on the door as I looked back trying to find the brothel couple that's when someone stepped out of a nearby pub and motioned for us to follow her. I ran over to her and thanked her as I sat Ney on a stool and took off my top hat as the lady came over and began dressing my cut eye. "You're lucky, the cut didn't take your vision completely you'll be able to see but you're going to need something to be able to see clearly." "Thank you madam but please check on my daughter first. By the way what is your name?" "My name is Annette but my friends call me Anne."

"Well, I thank you Miss Annette for your hospitality." "No problem. You both were strangers in need so I decided to help." (Her aura is green with a hint of orange. Perhaps she's telling the truth.) Annette walked over to Ney and gave her some hot tea and meat and potato soup. "Here you go sweetheart. What is your name?" "My name's Ney; Miss Annie." Annette smiles and chuckles and says you can call me auntie Annie." "Thank you for the food auntie Annie." "You're welcome sweetheart." "What is your name sir?" "Annette walked over to me and was ready to pour me a glass of alcohol when I stopped her. "I don't drink Miss Anne but if you can make me a cup of Honey-Peppermint Tea. As for my name, it is Jackson; Jackson Bilstein."

"It is a pleasure to meet you Jackson." As Anne handed me my Honey-Peppermint Tea I sipped it slowly as I finished the sip I would swirl it. "Tell me Anne do you know of the inventor named Nikola Tesla?" "Aye, he's one of the most renowned people in all of London why is it that you ask?" "He's my brother and I need to see him for a personal reason. Do you know where he's moved his workshop?" "Sure do, just off of pier-19. Small building in the cut of the alley across the tavern." "I appreciate you my fair lady." "Ney, I shall return I'm going out for a walk Miss Anne will watch over you until I return." Anne grabbed my arm and swung me back around to face her. "Don't you dare leave that poor lass by herself she looks up to you and admires you." "That's all dandy Miss Anne but if she continues to travel with me she will never have a normal life."

Annette smacked me across the face and looked at me with a disappointed look in her eyes. "Even I can tell she has no one she's too young to be doing what she's been doing she's finally found true happiness and a family with you. Don't you take that away from her." Annette began to cry as she gritted her teeth and clinched her fists so tight they began to draw blood. "From a woman that came from a dysfunctional and broken home don't break that little lass' heart." (Her heart is topaz blue.... Sadness?) "Very well, Miss Anne I promise you I shall return you have my word as a gentleman and as Miss Ney's adoptive father." "Thank you Jack." "The pleasure is mine Anne."
