"Are you absolutely sure that you're alright?" he asked again. "Yes. Could you get me some water?" she asked. "I will be back shortly," he left and a while later, Li Fei came to where she was sitting. "Is it the same pain?" she asked and she nodded. "You really need to see a doctor first thing tomorrow," she said. "You're right. I will go," she said and Li Fei nodded. When Jing Yue came back, he had a bottle of water and handed it to her then she took several sips from the water. "Thank you," she told him.
"We have to go to the hospital," he told her. "I was telling her the same. It's not the first time this is happening," reported Li Fei. "Really? Why didn't you tell me anything?" he asked looking at her. "I thought it was nothing serious," she replied. "On our way back home, we are going to visit the hospital," he said.
"I'm so tired Jing Yue. We shall see the doctor tomorrow," she told him.
Later on as the party was coming towards the end, Li Fei went inside the house and fed little Lian and after, Jin Liwei's parents took her. As she walked back to the gardens, she saw Jin Liwei and Jing Yue sitting somewhere having a private conversation and she decided not to interrupt them. She searched for Liling and she caught sight of her and Xinyi as she carried her nephew.
"I honestly don't know what else to do," Jing Yue told Jin Liwei. "Trust me, I understand your pain," he said. Jing Yue glanced over and saw the way Liling held the baby with joy and couldn't help the pain that surged through his heart. "How can I call myself a man when I can't give my wife the only thing that she loves the most?" "You told me that you were going for artificial methods," said Jin Liwei. "I asked the doctor and he told me that in my case chances were very low. It was the same as telling me that it's impossible." "You should give it try, you never know." "That will only raise her hope and what will happen if it fails? She will be so disappointed." Jin Liwei nodded in understanding and he couldn't deny that he was lucky.
As Liling was still holding Xinyi's son, he started crying and she handed him to her since it was his time to feed. "You know what, I think I will go on with the adoption process without Jing Yue's consent," Liling told Li Fei as she looked at him. "If it will make you feel better then do it," replied Li Fei. "It will," she replied before looking at them and said," I wonder what those two are discussing." "Who knows. I just pray they are not back to making scandalous plans." "Scandalous plans? What do you mean by that?" she asked.
"Don't you know? Those two come up with the craziest ideas. Who fakes a car accident?"
"Car accident?!" Liling asked and Li Fei realized that she had said it. "What do you mean by faking a car accident?" Liling asked.
Li Fei thought about it. She saw no reason why she had to hide it from her when it happened a long time ago.
Giving her a brief explanation, Liling's eyes widened in shock. "You're telling me that everything was fake? As in fake?" she asked again. "Yes," she replied.
"I can't believe it. Those two made a fool out of us. Jing Yue," she cursed as she looked at him.
"Yes. All in all, we made peace. I understood his reasons for doing it," Li Fei replied. "They would have used a different approach. You were pregnant by that time. What if you lost the baby?" "They didn't know I was pregnant," she said.
"It doesn't justify their actions. Jing Yue is going to hear from me," she said before leaving, walking to where the two men were. "We need to talk," she said the moment she reached, glaring at Jing Yue before walking away so that he could follow. "Are you still in pain love?" he asked when they reached. "Sure your love. Jing Yue, how could you and Jin Liwei fake an accident?"
His eyebrows raised in question and he asked," Faking an accident?" "Don't play the innocent card with me. You clearly know what I'm talking about. The accident you both made us believe that happened yet it was all planned." "Oh that one," he said as he scratched the back of his neck," Jin Liwei and his wife made peace long time ago. "
"Oh they made peace. What about us? You never apologized for fooling me," she said.
"I didn't fool- " "You called me and made me believe - aahh!!" she stopped talking and clutched her belly but the pain was too much this time. She went on her knees and Jing Yue was quick to hold her.
Not long after, many people had surrounded them and soon, Jing Yue felt her turn limp in his arms. "What happened to her?" Li Mei asked. "I-I don't know. She was arguing and the next moment, she acted as though she was in pain. I have to rush her to the hospital," he said as he gathered her in his arms. As they made way for him, Li Mei stopped him and said," Let's take her inside the house. My doctor lives nearby." She saw him contemplating and added," This will be better. He will be here in ten utmost."
Nodding, he left the gardens and rushed her inside as Li Mei called her doctor. Li Fei and Jin Liwei came following after him.
When the doctor arrived, he was led to the room where she was put and before he could check on her, he instructed them to leave the room but Jing Yue refused and he let him be. He anxiously waited as the doctor checked her and all he prayed for was that she was fine. He couldn't take it if anything happened to her.
When the doctor was done, he looked at him and asked," What is wrong with her doctor?"
"Are you her husband?" he asked and he nodded. "Congratulations. Your wife is pregnant," he mentioned and Jing Yue looked at the doctor, unable to utter a word.
